Beas Kund, a holy lake in Manali, is a trekker’s paradise. It is an immensely beautiful place, and the trek required to reach it is pretty easy to handle. If you are wondering how to reach Beas Kund, then you are not alone. The trek, although simple, can take upwards of two days, and thus people need to know what sort of path to take in order to get to Beas Kund.
The first leg of the journey will take you to Bakharthaj, in nearly 5 to 7 hours. Here, you can stop for the night, set up camp, and enjoy a night under the stars. The next day, you can start again and reach Beas Kund within 4 to 6 hours. The best part of this trip is that you can break journey and spend the night in the valley, and start afresh in the morning to finish your trek.
There is a way to cut short this journey. If you manage to take your car till Dhundi village then you can reach Beas Kund much faster. However, in general, private cars are not allowed to travel to Dhundi village, but exceptions are sometimes made.
