About Japan Destinations

Well-known as the land of the rising sun, Japan lures the hearts of many travelers. Owing to its geography, Japan is home to many mountains, lakes, waterfalls, gorges, valleys, caves, etc. Along with the natural glory, the country also has a glorious past and an intriguing history which adds up to Japan tourism. Japan is also called by the name of Nihon by locals. Mount Fuji, Yakushima Island, ornate temples, mystic monasteries, ancient forests, cherry blossoms, scrumptious cuisine, majestic palaces, and manga culture are the highlights of this East Asian country. Japan is an enthralling country owing to its stabilized economic, cultural, and technical powers. The yearly figures of Japan tourism are also flattering, with an increasing number of people exploring the country owing to many stunning attractions. Japan stands to be an archipelago of more than 6,800 islands. The most important among these islands are Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Hokkaido. With Japan tours, explore these famous islands of Japan.

History of Japan

The history of Japan takes you back to 30,000 years when the first human life existed in Japan. It is also traced that the first society named Jomon came into existence 12,000 years back, along with Jomon, people belonging to Ainu society also came from Siberia by boat. Both societies co-existed peacefully for thousands of years. Around 300 BC, people belonging to the Yayoi tribe settled in Honshu Island of China and Korea. The people of Yayoi were the first to start cultivation in Japan and grew rice. From 660 BC till 12th century AD, the country was ruled by Jimmu Tenno. Jimmu Tenno emperorship was overthrown by Shoguns and in the year 1543 Europeans arrived bringing in the new religion, technologies, and culture. The modernization and upliftment of Japan began in the year 1868.

People and Culture

Culture in Japan is instilled with high values and discipline. Japanese put in a lot of hard work in whatever they do, kids from an early age are taught to respect elders and most Japanese need to think first for the betterment of their country, community, company, and families before thinking about their own needs. Japan tourism also promotes and is instilled with all these values. The staple food of Japanese cuisine comprises rice, vegetables, and fish. Japanese food is believed to be the healthiest food in the entire world.

Food in Japan

Rice is a prominent element of Japan’s cuisine. Most of the Japanese cuisine circles around wholesomeness and sustainability. Therefore, one of the key table etiquettes in Japan includes finishing the served food completely with no leftovers. The country is home to delectable dishes such as sushi, tempura, curry rice, miso soup, ramen, udon, gyoza, yakitori, sashimi, etc.

Aradhanapia's 13 days trip to Japan

Thanks for a nice trip. There were many positives and nice / polite helps which enables this marvelous trip. If you want an appreciation mail, We can give a detailed one separately. In this mail we are concentrating on improvement points. There were several errors and faults/gaps that could have be
en easily avoided. Overall we would like to rate the trip as 3.8 out of 5 scale regarding your help and service. The points to be noted. 1 ) In the bus from Haneda airport the driver asked " which Apa hotel you are going ? ... There are many Apa Hotels ? You should have told us ( Aradhana Family and the driver ) that the Apa Hotel near Nishi Shinjuku Gochome station is where we are going. I am attaching a screenshot from google maps in this discussion. You can help your customers with these kind of screen shot maps. As we were not sure, the driver found out with lot of trying with Japanese maps. 2 ) In Haneda airport we were busy locating the driver and searching for data card, so that we can establish communication. The condition that Tokyo metro pass can be activated only from Haneda airport was a big error choice from your side. We missed that and lost that pass fully. Metro train pass can be easily bought anywhere. You should have left that option to us, in case the driver did not turn up. 3 ) For Tokyo tour the bases leaves from a building next to Shinjuku police station. The police station is very prominently known by all. While searching " Love Building " or Love sign or Love statue in front of some building we realized that almost everyone does not speak English, nor there is any building named as " Love Building ". It was 1 chome Building and on the Footpath LOVE is made by structure. 3 ) At Toyoma no one speaks English. The Boys and Girls, Men and Women in Hotel counter also do not speak English. There was big confusion to realize that our rooms were booked the Number to Annex building 1/2 km away in Toyoko Inn Hotel chain and not in the main one near the station. If it was in the building near the station it would have been only 1 km walk with lots of luggage. We had to walk 1/2 km more. There was no lock in the bathrooms of the rooms to Toyoko Inn Hotel ( annex 2 ). These kind of rooms are dangerous as can cause major misunderstanding is someone enters the bathroom, while someone else is using it. 4 ) At Nagoa The Red Planet Hotel was very nice. But very far from Main Railway station. You should have advised us to go to the Hotel by Taxi from Station. We took train to a small station and then walked more than 2 km with luggage, as we were not sure of the best choices. 5 ) In general try to communicate to people with description of multiple landmarks. Your decision of sending our passports to Bangalore office after being rejected from Delhi should have been told to us. We were not aware of these decisions taken by you. We came to know about Visa delay very late. As per our understanding of dates, you sat on our passport, without any action for almost 1 week,( at Gurgaon ) and then rushed around. This is the main reason why we rated your service as 3.8 out of 5. Thanks and Regards Aradhana and Subhashish
