About Tokyo Disneyland in Tokyo

One of the most fun places to be in Japan, Tokyo Disneyland is a great spot to let your inner child out to play.

It was established in the year 1983 and was the very first Disneyland that opened up anywhere in the world outside of the United States. It is a massive theme park that draws inspiration from the movies produced by Walt Disney Studios. There are seven themes lands here, based on the Magic Kingdom in Florida and Disneyland in California.

Toontown: Another really fun themed park at Tokyo Disneyland is Toontown, which is a pretend neighborhood for cartoons. There are offices and restaurants for the toons to go to, along with separate homes which the visitors can spend time at. The most popular attraction here includes the boat of Donald Duck and a Treehouse belonging to Chip and Dale.

World Bazaar: This themed region on visiting Tokyo Disneyland is a major attraction for visitors since this is where one can buy all the Disney merchandise that can be dreamed of. Although this themed area is right at the beginning of the park, this is where most people stop on their way out while grabbing something to eat and shopping for some unique items.

Westernland: Themed after the US western frontiers of the yesteryears, the Westernland themed park is a great place to enjoy a bit of boating and yacht trips. The most popular ride of Tokyo Disneyland is present here, the Big Thunder Mountain.

Adventureland: Another one of those amazing Tokyo Disneyland attractions, Adventureland is, true to its name, a place to enjoy plenty of adventure for both kids and adults. The most popular attractions here include the Pirates of the Caribbean and the Western River Railroad. It is an imperative part of any Tokyo Disneyland tour.

Critter Country: For taking a look at all the cartoon animals that have been part of Disney sagas, Critter Country is a great place for a start. All the animals from the Song of the South movie are here, including Br’er Rabbit and Br’er Fox. The most popular ride here is the Splash Mountain log ride.

Fantasyland: One of the best themed parks in Tokyo Disneyland, Fantasyland is probably the most popular one. It has all the most popular characters from all Disney movies such as Cinderella, Dumbo, Snow White and Winnie the Pooh among others. The most popular rides here include Pooh’s Hunny Hunt and It’s a Small World.

Yes, there is a Tokyo Disneyland resort, which is a great places to spend a couple of days surrounded by all the marvels of Disney. If you are staying here there are plenty of other benefits to enjoy as well, such as special prices and timings for buying tickets.

You can purchase anything from Mickey Mouse shaped cookies to the glass slippers of Cinderella here. There are plenty of t-shirts, mobile phone covers, keychains and other memorabilia that you can purchase here.

One can’t bring their own meals in the park. If you want to bring your own meals you can only use the Picnic Area which is provided outside Disneyland.

The items that one can’t take inside the park are:

  • Sharp items (knives), explosives, or any other hazardous material

  • Any remote controlled electronic devices and Drones

  • Your own meals

  • Glass or can containers

  • Pets or any other animals (apart from assistance dogs)
