About Madhugiri in Bangalore
Madhugiri is a small town in the Tumkur district in Karnataka. Madhugiri is a renowned monolith which is the largest Monolith in Asia and second largest in the world. Apart from this Madhugiri is also known as the educational district because of its vast institutions which offers education from primary to degree courses. Madhugiri is also known as honey hill. The hill lies at an elevation of 3930 feet and is mostly visited by tourists for trekking. There are numerous tourist attractions around Madhugiri which are a must visit. The Channarayana Durga Fort is one of the oldest forts which accounts for more than thousands of sculptures. The Fort was destroyed long back hence there are remains of it. The Siddara Betta is popular for its natural spring which has medicinal value. The Jayamangali Blackbuck Reserve is a must visit when you travel to Madhugiri. The most appropriate time to visit Madhugiri is from October to March when the region experiences mild winters with pleasant weather.
Apart from these tourist attractions one can also visit the most renowned Venkataramana Swamy Temple, the Malleshwara Temple and the Madhugiri Fort. These two temples have architecture of Dravidian style which is admired by almost all the tourists. Madhugiri is an ideal destination to plan trip with friends, family or even one can go individually. Madhugiri is well connected by roads to all major cities.
