How To Reach Camping Spots In Coorg

Coorg does not have its own airport and railway station. But reaching Coorg is not a thing to worry about. Coorg has a well laid and maintained road network which connects the main town to all the other major cities nearby.

The nearest airport to Coorg is located at a distance of 165 kilometres in Mangalore. On reaching the Mangalore International Airport, it is trouble free to hire a cab or board a bus to reach Coorg and then to the camp of choice. Camping in Coorg starts only after reaching the base camp. Also, the nearest railway station to Coorg is the Mysore Junction Railway Station which is located at a distance of 95 kilometres from Coorg. It is again very convenient to hire a cab/taxi or board a bus from the railway station to reach the base camp in Coorg. Also, people who like to go off-road and drive amidst the picturesque landscapes are suggested to embark upon a road trip to Coorg from neighbour cities like Bangalore.

hotel location is not as expected, it was long away from the hill station, since we were new to the place and unaware of the location, the Traveller should have guided us with the locations (climate, ambience) etc, this was not happened, should improve, we have also had a choice to cancel the current booked hotel to a new hotel in hill station with additional cost cost too, eventhough, the Traveller did not helped, overall, with the help of driver, we went to the places to which he is well versed
