How To Reach River Rafting Spots

River rafting is the crux for all adventure sports that take place in Coorg. This spine-tingling sport of balance and teamwork is available in two versions: White Water Rafting and Still Water Rafting. While White Water Rafting, Coorg takes place during the monsoon season, the Still Water Rafting takes place during the summer and winter season. River Rafting in Coorg can be done at two places: Barapole and Dubare.

Tourists can take up this adventure on all the two above mentioned places. For reaching Barapole river rafting base, one needs to take up the route of Mysore-Hunsur-Nagarhole Forest (route open between 6am to 6pm) otherwise reach Gonikoppal-Kutta-Srimangala- T.Shettigeri-Tata Tea Estate-KKR Junction-Whitewater Rafting Base. Tourists coming from Madikeri side, can take up the route Madikeri-Virajpet(or Siddapura)-Gonikoppal-Ponnampet-Hudikere-T.Shettigeri-Tata Tea Estate-KKR Junction-Whitewater Rafting Base.

Tourists who wish to indulge in river rafting in Coorg Dubare, can reach the Dubare river rafting base by means of bus or cab via road. One can also come to Mysore or Bangalore via flight or train and then complete the additional distance by road.

Overall it went well but not as expected. Started with a delay of cab driver for 1.30 hour and couldn't cover the most of the places because of that. Driver was not able to guide us properly due to which we reached the spots but they were closed because of lack of proper communication.
