Trip To Shivanasamudra Falls, Karnataka

Shivanasamudra is a small and beautiful island city located in the Mandya district of Karnataka, India.

Situated on the banks of Kaveri River, it is located 65 kilometers east of Mysore and 138 km from Bangalore. Surrounded by hills and a dense forest, the view of the city is completely awe-inspiring. Also known as Shivasamudram falls, it divides the Kaveri River into twin waterfalls, thereby creating the fourth largest island in the river course.

The two waterfalls which emerge out of Shivasamudram waterfalls are Gaganachukki and Bharachukki falls. The western branch leads to the formation of the twin waterfalls of Gaganachukki and the eastern one leads to the Bharachukki. Both falls are just a kilometer away from each other. For photographers planning to capture the best views of the Gaganachukki falls, the Shivasamudram watchtower is the most popular spot with a spectacular view.

The city of Shivanasamudra falls also hosts a number of ancient temples well known for their divine deities. Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple built in the Dravidian style is the most famous one, hosting ‘Madhya Ranga’, who is highly revered by Sri Vaishnava. It is one of the most ancient temples located in the city and houses a very beautiful idol. Other famous temples include Sri Someshwara Temple and the Shakthi Devathe Temple of Vanadurga Devi.

So, the Shivanasamudra Falls, Mandya is a whole place in heaven for nature lovers, peace seekers, photographers as well as those looking for a peaceful and calm destination to visit.

Manishji's 5 days trip to Mysore

Tour was good. too much travelling by car, suggestion/guidance for airport / railway station while tour start/end is missing in your program during selection. Last day was only travelling from 7 AM to 4.30 PM from Ooty to Mysore, this can be avoided while proposing for Itinerary to customer.  Driver/Cab - Mr kiran and his Car KA03AB5010 is very good, very polite, having good knowledge of route, very specific for selection of veg hotels   during my whole program Mysore, Coorg, Ooty, Coonoor, Bangalore.  because of him visited all place of my itinerary except one or two. Hotel Golden.castle :  Bathroom drain was choking, Hand wash soap was not provided. Tea Kit is not available. Bed Tea was given after 7 AM and charged amount for bed tea and water bottle this is minor things can be avoided. Lazo.areca.resort : Resort was good but far from the main market. Quality of food was Ok. natural things are very good , cleanness in resort is not upto mark (may be due to rainy seasons) incests / moths etc are in room and outside room, Major issue water is coming from roof specially in bathroom (three places) and one place in room. Kempscave : Good hotel little far from main market. service time is little late  this is my second tour with travel triangle. Over all good experience with you this can be much better with little changes  It is not understood for taking extra charges while payment of tour with UPI & Debit cards.

1. Driver: Rude behaviour/ doesn’t answer when you ask something and doesn’t even acknowledge 2. ⁠ mysore palace was not in the itinerary but he asked if we wanted to visit. We said only if it is on the route. Meanwhile he went to some other place and we had to wait for him for 20 mins 3. ⁠Left us in cab for around 30-40 mins unattended on the way to ooty. This happened multiple times that we had call and wait. Once he kept chatting to a friend and we waited in the car for 10-15 mins 4. Took longer route to ooty saying the other route is under maintenance 5. ⁠always in a hurry 6. ⁠on call most of the time while driving 7. ⁠ignored us quite a few times. 8. ⁠did not stop for lunch/tea on the last day although we had asked twice. Later said “ airport pe cafeteria hai sir” rudely as he was in a hurry to complete the trip

Would like to take this time to appreciate the choice of hotel, places to visit and appropriate travel arrangements by Travel Corp that made our family trip easy and memorable. Place of stay ( Club Mahindra, Madikeri), local eateries ( Raintree, Rainbow and Rice Fish Curry) and places of visit( Raja seat, Chiklihole reservoir, Mandalpatti and Nisarghadhama) are some of the experiences mind blowing one of a kind.
