How To Reach Nature Walk Places In Kumarakom

You can begin your nature walk in Kumarakom from anywhere you feel like since the entire town is a veritable smorgasbord of nature trails and walking tracks. Full of lush green areas, this place is home to beautiful little nooks and crannies that can be best to relax and rejuvenate yourselves.

Situated on the Kavanattinkara Saktheeswaram Temple Road and along the famous Lake Vembanad, the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a place you must definitely visit for a refreshing nature walk.

The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is located some 17 kilometres away from the Kottayam Railway Station, and 77 kilometres from the Cochin International Airport. You can reach here by train, and then take a taxi to reach the sanctuary in 35 minutes via the Kottayam- Kumarakom Road. Or you can drive directly from the airport via NH66 and reach in two hours.    

If you’re planning to go for a nature walk to the Kumarakom Beach or the backwaters, you can reach there easily by all modes of transportation, since the city is well connected to the airport and the railway station.

    The hotels and candle light dinner was awesome. The arrangements food cleanliness of the hotels was exceptional. I didn't took the cab service as I opted for self drive car. The only sad part was I had book the tickets from your agent and the return flight got delayed by 4hrs and he didn't inform me
