About Hemis Monastery in Ladakh

Hemis Monastery is one of the seven wonders of India and a world heritage site. King of Ladakh named Sengge Namgyal built this place and since then, it became one of the best tourist destinations in Ladakh. The Green hills around the place and the Indus River makes the Hemis Monastery look more beautiful and eye-catching. One of the major attractions of this place is the statue of Lord Buddha made with copper. You will also find other spectacular things in this place apart from the statue, such as gold and silver stupas, murals, thangkas. All though not much of suggestions, but since Ladakh is a region were mobile network is very limited or NO Access to service, proper instructions should have been given to the drivers and the hotels pre-booked of our arrival and departures. Hope people reading this understand it and properly plan for the future bookings.
