Luxury Resorts We Book in Andaman
The difference between a standard Andaman trip and a luxury one is usually the address. These are the flagship properties our coordinators arrange, most of them on or beside Radhanagar Beach on Havelock.
Taj Exotica Resort and Spa, Andamans sits on 46.5 acres of beachfront and rainforest beside Radhanagar. Guests stay in stilted villas with domed thatched roofs and king canopy beds; family villas run to 265 sq m with a 15-metre private pool. The Grande Jiva Spa, game fishing, night kayaking and a heritage tasting menu at The Settlers are the reasons couples book it a season ahead.
Barefoot at Havelock is the eco-luxury original, timber cottages set back in the forest a short walk from Radhanagar, built without felling trees. It suits travellers who want quiet and canopy over marble and gloss.
SeaShell, Havelock is the premium sea-view choice closer to the jetty, an easy base for diving at Beach No. 3 and morning boats to Elephant Beach.
Munjoh Ocean Resort and Symphony Palms Beach Resort round out the premium tier for larger families and groups, both close to Havelock's dive shops and beaches.
Not sure which fits? Tell your coordinator the trip (honeymoon, family, dive-led) and the budget band, and they will match the property. For romance-first stays, our Andaman honeymoon packages go deeper on couples resorts.
Signature Luxury Experiences
A luxury package is defined by what happens between the beaches. These are the upgrades most travellers add.
Private catamaran class cross between Port Blair, Havelock and Neil on the Luxury or Royal deck. Nautika, a 33-metre Singapore-built catamaran, reaches Havelock in about 1 hour 30 minutes; Makruzz runs the widest daily schedule. We pre-book the class so you are not queuing at the counter.
Candlelight beach dinner a table set on the sand at Radhanagar or your resort beach, arranged with the property in advance. The headline honeymoon experience.
Sea walk and Scuba (Discover Scuba Dive) walk the ocean floor 6 to 7 metres down in a glass helmet with a steady air feed, no swimming needed, so first-timers and older travellers can do it too.
Water sports beyond scuba, add snorkelling at Elephant Beach, jet-ski, and glass-bottom boat rides, all bookable through the coordinator so the day is sequenced around the tide.
All-inclusive meals and a personal coordinator all-inclusive breakfast, lunch and dinner, private airport and inter-island transfers, and one point of contact who reshuffles the plan if a ferry time changes.
What a Luxury Andaman Package Includes
Every luxury itinerary on this page bundles the following. Anything can be upgraded or removed on a customised quote.
| Included as standard | On the premium (5-star) tiers |
|---|---|
| Return flights to Port Blair (IXZ) | 5-star beachfront resort, villa night on the 7N tier |
| 4 to 5-star stays across the islands | Private catamaran class (Nautika / Makruzz) |
| Private airport and inter-island transfers | All meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) |
| Pre-booked ferry tickets | Candlelight beach dinner |
| Daily breakfast (meals on most tiers) | Dedicated personal tour coordinator |
| 24x7 on-trip assistance | Priority spa and dining reservations |
Not included: personal expenses, alcohol unless specified, and optional activity fees. Your quote lists these before you pay.
Best Time for a Luxury Andaman Trip
The luxury season runs October to May, when the sea is calm, ferries rarely cancel, and diving visibility is at its best. December and January are peak, book resorts and the Signature tier six to eight weeks ahead. February to April brings warm, settled weather and the easiest Radhanagar sunsets. The mid-year monsoon (June to September) is quieter and cheaper but ferry schedules get disrupted, so it suits flexible travellers only. For a month-by-month breakdown, see the Andaman tourism guide.
Where a Luxury Package Takes You
Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep)
The centre of luxury Andaman. Radhanagar Beach, a wide pale-sand curve on the west coast, is where the 5-star resorts sit and where everyone gathers for the sunset. Elephant Beach, reached by a short boat ride, is the snorkelling and water-sports hub. Most itineraries give Havelock two to three nights.
Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep)
Slower and greener than Havelock, an hour on by ferry. Laxmanpur Beach is the sunset spot, Bharatpur is calm enough for first-time snorkellers, and the Natural Bridge is worth the early low-tide walk. One or two nights here balances a trip.
Port Blair
Your arrival and departure base. The Cellular Jail light-and-sound show, Corbyn's Cove and North Bay fill the bookend days, and it is the launch point for the ferries north.
Baratang (7N tier)
A day trip through mangrove creeks to the limestone caves and mud volcanoes, the wilder, less-visited side of the archipelago.
How to Choose the Right Luxury Package
By who is travelling: honeymooners go for the Signature or Grand tier with a Taj Exotica or Barefoot stay and the candlelight dinner. Families do well on the 5N/6D across three islands. Groups suit Munjoh or Symphony Palms.
By budget: the 4-star tiers (Rs 21,750 to 34,975) are genuine value luxury; the 5-star tiers (from Rs 52,000) buy villas, private ferry class and all meals.
By duration: 3 to 4 nights covers Port Blair plus Havelock; 5 nights adds Neil comfortably; 6 to 7 nights lets you slow down and add Baratang.
By season: October to May for the settled-sea luxury experience; December to January if you want peak-season buzz and can book early.
What to Pack
Peak season is warm and humid; the monsoon adds rain and choppier crossings. A tight list, not a suitcase:
Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, and quick-dry swimwear
Light cottons and one smart outfit for a fine-dining or candlelight dinner
A power bank and offline maps (island network can be patchy)
Cash for ferry, permit and activity counters
Photo ID for all travellers; foreign nationals should carry permit paperwork
