By Air

The nearest airport is in Pune (PNQ). Currently, it doesn’t have many services for travelling beyond the country's borders and mainly serves domestic traffic. Pune is roughly 95 km from Panchgani and can be reached in under 2-3 hours. There’s also the Mumbai International Airport (BOM), which is farther, about 250 km away from Panchgani, but has more flight options. You can choose between them at your convenience and then travel by road or train to Panchgani.

By Train

The nearest railway stations to Panchgani are Wathar (45 km), Satara (60 km), and Pune (100 km). The Pune railway station has the best reach and connectivity among these and is the most accessible. Pune is connected to major cities across India via daily trains. Alternatively, the railway station in Mumbai is 250 km away. After reaching Pune or Mumbai, you can take a local bus or taxi, or hire a cab to reach Panchgani.

By Air

Frequent bus service is available between Pune, Panchgani, and Mumbai. You can find seaters, sleepers, and AC and non-AC buses. Furthermore, you can choose between state-run and privately owned buses. The public transport system in Maharashtra is very efficient, but one is advised to avoid travelling during rush hours.
