The total distance between Pune and Rajgad is almost 35 km. You will have to take a bus from Swargate Bus Depot to Gunjawane which is the base village for Rajgarh Fort. From here, you can trek to the fort as it is just 2.5 km from here. 

Mumbai to Rajgarh Fort By Bus: If you are planning to reach Raigad Fort from Mumbai by bus, then you need to travel to Pune first as there is no direct bus that operates between Mumbai and Rajgarh. First you need to come to Pune and then take a bus from Swargate Bus Depot to Gunjawane which is the base village for Rajgarh Fort.

Rajgad Fort By Taxi:

Hire a taxi for the day from Pune or Mumbai and make your way to the fort. You can take a flight or a train to Pune or Mumbai, whichever is convenient for you and get to the fort. The nearest place, however, would be Pune which is located just about 75 kilometers from Rajgad Fort.
