Attracting hundreds of visitors every day to frolic on sandy stretches along the Indian Ocean, this crescent-shaped Artificial Beach in Malé, Maldives is a man-made beach created from the land retrieved from the sea.

A majority of the visitors come here to find some quiet time away from the downtown hubbub of Malé. The beach on the eastern seafront of the island is located only a stone’s throw away from the city’s recreational center.

Malé, the pint-sized and densely populated capital of Maldives, is famous as the main commercial center of the country. Until a few years ago, the city was only known for restaurant-hopping and shopping experiences, as the city lacked a sandy beach.

There are a handful of natural white sandy beaches in Maldives, but Artificial Beach in Malé has a special appeal like no other beach in Maldives. The beach can match up with all other natural beaches in Maldives. It is a perfect spot for taking a relaxing swim or a long walk during sunset.

Made out of the breakwater tetrapods, the beach is the newest tourist attraction in Maldives. Local vendors sell a whole range of street food while there are some beach shacks as well. Chatting with the locals in the afternoon, taking an evening walk, and listening to live music shows are popular to do activities at the Artificial Beach in Maldives. From time to time, various carnivals and live music concerts are held at the beach for public entertainment.

Major nearby attractions include National Museum, Malé Friday Mosque, and Hulhumalé Island. The specially designated swimming area is available and is a favorite spot for sunbathing in the summer season. Some water sports in the Artificial Beach of Maldives are also available during the peak tourist season in Maldives.

It was as amazing as it could be. Had gone to Olhuveli Beach Resort and Spa. The hotel experience was amazing. The island had all facilities and rooms and service was top quality. I went with an all inclusive package which covered most of my dining and excursion requirements. The hotel had top class facilities like swimming pool, beverages, excursions etc. Thanks to Gaurav for arranging all the experience at Youngistan Travels. Only miscommunication was with honeymoon offers but was taken care of when I showed my marriage certificates to the Hotel. Overall a dream experience.

Everything was just perfect...first night in male..it was hotel LONUVELI.. average hotel..staff was okay...food was okay..and made us wait in waiting area for 3 hours..room was empty though..other than this it was okay... after that CENTARA RAS FUSHI,3 NIGHTS was like heaven... everything was just super fine... perfect... I can't describe in words...Best resort,Best Service,Best food(i am pure vegetarian,not even eating eggs)...& Best part was,we have 2 nights in watervilla and 1 in beachvilla..but cause of less occupancy they made us stay whole 3 nights in WATERVILLA...THE BEST. It was special for me as this was my first trip with my beloved wife... CENTARA MADE IT PERFECT. i would consider best memory of my trip "CENTARA"
