How To Reach Upper Mustang Trekking in Kathmandu

The most convenient way to reach the Upper Mustang is to take a flight from Pokhara to Jomsom and initiate the trekking expedition from Jomsom. The flight will in itself be an amazing experience. You will be following the Kali Gandaki River which is known to be flowing between Dhaulagiri and the Nilgiri mountain range to reach Kagbeni. Here the restricted area of the Upper Mustang starts.

Start your trek in the north direction from Kagbeni which will lead you to Lo Manthang within 4-5 days. Cross the pass one by one, each of them is at a distance of about 3500m to 4000m. While returning, you can also take another route through Dhakmar, by travelling through 2 passes of 4200m.
