About Pathani Samanta Planetarium
Bhubaneswar is famous all over India for its glorious temples, rich culture and history, and pristine beaches.
But not just thi, there is something in Bhubaneswar which is beyond imagination and the place which will take you to a world full of fantasies. This place is called Pathani Samanta Planetarium which is a planetarium named after a renowned astronomer Pathani Samanta. The planetarium has been designed using the latest techniques and technologies. The Pathani Samanta Planetarium aims to create awareness regarding the astrological theories, poster shows, audio and video night sky viewing and a lot more.The night sky gazing experience at the Panthani Samanta Museum is something which you will remember for a lifetime. It is a must visit place for students, especially kids. People from all backgrounds show their keen interest to visit this marvellous attraction in Bhubaneswar. The planetarium was created by Science and Technology Department under Government of Odisha.
The entry fee for the Panthani Samanta Planetarium is very nominal which is Rs 30 for adults and Rs 20 for children. The planetarium can be visited at any time of the year irrespective of the weather conditions as it is all enclosed and covered. The timings of the planetarium are from 02:00 pm to 06:00 pm. The live shows takes place in three languages which are Oriya, English, and Hindi and the timings for which are different.
