About Safari at Nandankanan Zoo

Nandankanan Zoo offers a host of attractions for tourists to enjoy. Out of the others, some of the interesting things that you can do in the zoo are enjoying a Bear Safari, Lion Safari, and a unique White Tiger Safari. A toy train also runs within the premises of the park where you can enjoy a ride and observe the wildlife up close. There are also facilities for boat rides, aerial ropeway and a cable car. However, the main attraction inside the Nandankanan Zoological Park is the jungle safari. There are two types of safaris available inside the park - the natural and artificial. But it is very important for tourists to understand the fact that since Nandankanan is a zoo and not a typical national park, Elephant Safari or Jeep Safari, as such, is not offered here. Therefore, tourists take a tour on foot to enjoy the wildlife here. You may ask for a golf-cart for senior citizens if you feel a walking tour is not possible.

Hotel at Puri (Pride Ananya) was great in every aspect. The Adventure Hotel at Bhubaneswar was good at stay but very poor in services. Even after advance intimation from our travel agent as well as from us, they didn't provide packed breakfast as we had to leave early to take a flight. Regarding transportation, driver was great with average vehicle health. All the described places were covered and enjoyed it thoroughly.

Overall a very good and memorable trip by Inde D Voyage ! Hotels were convenient with tasty Breakfast spread ! Slight niggles were present in both hotels w.r.t the rooms but they were taken care of by the staff ! The cab driver Mr. Rakesh did his best on time-management to cover all the places per the iterinary and couple more places for our kids to play and enjoy ! It was a great experience. The services of both the travel agent Mr. Shibhashish and driver Mr. Sujan Kumar were excellent and highly recommended. Stay at hotel pride ananya was very comfortable. An advice to anyone visiting Orissa, please stay alert for all pandit jis.. most of them want more and more money out of you and it ruins the whole experience of visiting the temples... never saw this scenario anywhere except Puri, was highly disappointed. Would request tour organizers to make people aware of the same. The only Saving grace was successful darshan of bhagwan Jagannath ji. Visit to Chandrabagha beach, konark and Jagannath temple.
