Perhaps the largest attraction for those visiting the Sun City, Mehrangarh fort offers a wealth of knowledge about the ruling family of the fort as well as the history of their once proud kingdom. The walls of Mehrangarh fort are said to be blessed by Shri Karni Mata and the fact that the fort belongs to its owners is celebrated by the locals and attributed to said blessings. Barring all of these very interesting things, Mehrangarh also boasts of a very informative and complete museum. All this and more makes Mehrangarh fort a must visit in Jodhpur which is only helped by how easily accessible it is.

Jodhpur is one of India and Rajasthan’s most beautiful cities and also one of India’s most frequently visited tourist destinations. As such, it is connected by air, train, and road to almost all of India’s major cities. The most surefire way of reaching Mehrangarh fort is by taking an auto rickshaw or cab after deciding the price beforehand. However, this can be a little expensive an option and if it cannot be exercised then Mehrangarh fort can also be reached by one of the city buses but these have a very low frequency in Jodhpur. There is also the option to take the Jodhpur city tour which definitely includes Mehrangarh Fort in the itinerary. Tripsailer helped us from start to end with all the planning and helped to make sure that my trip went without any hiccups. They also called in between to check on us, which was really good. The hotel that they gave in Jaipur was great, the hospitality, food and room everything was upto the standard

s. However, the hotel they gave us in Udaipur was not that great. The washroom door had mould on it; it was not clean. The breakfast was average. The driver they provided was good; he did show us around, but he was going off track with the planned itinerary and was going to other places that were not in the itinerary. Apart from these few points, the trip went perfectly well. We enjoyed it a lot, and we would choose Tripsailer again for our future trips.
