About Pushkar Tourism

Pushkar is considered to be one of the oldest cities in India.

Located at the northwest to Ajmer, the city of Pushkar is a favorite destination for tourists and devotees who come flocking to Rajasthan. Located at a height of 510 meters, Pushkar has hillocks on three sides. The ‘Nag Pahar’, meaning Snake Mountain creates a natural border between the cities of Ajmer and Pushkar. Accompanied with an interesting mythological history, the legacy of timeless architectural heritage makes the Pushkar city tour a must have during your vacation.

History of Pushkar

The Old Town of Pushkar is dotted with historic temples and a planned city comprise of elegant shopping centers, gardens, and parks. It is a perfect place to have a Pushkar one day tour. Also known as the Town Of Fairs And Festivities, according to legends, the great Lord Brahma, who is believed to be the creator of the entire Universe had dropped a lotus on the ground which had lead to an immediate creation of a lake. Then he decided to name that place after that particular flower, and hence the city got its name, Pushkar. The city is home to the only temple that is dedicated to the great Lord Brahma in the whole world. Several Hindus consider their visit to Pushkar as the ultimate pilgrimage which must be undertaken to achieve salvation.

Awati's 6 days trip to Pushkar

The owner of the travel company that we travelled with is a person who doesn't even know how to talk with their customers. Firstly our travel agent was Preeti agarwal and when we called her to raise some complaints she was not even able to accept them and then the owner started talking to us. Who is such a egotistic person with no sense of talking to customers.

Gurunathan's 3 days trip to Pushkar

The hotels in general were not at a three star level except for Shani Vilas in Ranthambore. The hotel in Agra did not even have hot water. The initial room provided in Delhi's metro view was very bad and we had to request for a change. The toilet flush was not working, the bathroom door did not have a latch, the door was broken etc. Please ensure that the right level of hotels are provided.

The best thing happened is the drivers in the jodpur, who resolved the messed up plan by the travel agent. Hotel Sia Resorts changed and we have been changed to different resort, which was older property. The daywise plan made by the travel agent was absurd and created lot of confusion.
