Almost all of the city is a historical site by itself, with even the plainest of haveli's and houses having ancient intricately carved jharokhas. Best time to visit Bikaner:

The best time to visit Bikaner is during October to February, when the weather is cooler and much more pleasant than the summers. Visiting the city during the monsoon season is not a bad idea, considering the temperatures are lesser as compared to the summers, even though the humidity might be a problem. Visiting Bikaner during the summers is not advisable unless you are willing to bear the scorching desert sun. The discounts offered during the off-season here might make it worthwhile.

Things to do in Bikaner:

Your Bikaner tour should ideally include a visit and stay at the much acclaimed Thar Desert. One of the most popular Bikaner 's points of interest include a night camping under the stars with only the wind for the company is sure to be one of the most surreal experiences of your trip to Bikaner. Also, try to visit one of the local villages near the desert, to take a look at their daily way of life. It is very common to find horse-drawn carriages on the roads, along with the cars, vying for space and attention. Make sure to enjoy at least one ride in a horse-drawn carriage ride.

Shopping in Bikaner:

Purchase colorful and vibrant Rajasthani print from Bikaner. The markets of Bikaner are famous for selling local prints and handicrafts of Rajasthan. In each and every product sold you get a glimpse of Rajasthan. The famous markets in Bikaner are Kote Gate, Station Road Market, Lallgarh Palace Road, Mahatma Gandhi Road, and Bara Bazar. Purchase things like Kundan Jewelry, Sarees with bandhani or leheriya prints, lac bangles, leather mojari, Nokha razai, Bikaneri Bhujia, different varieties of churan, and sweets. But tourism in Bikaner is not limited to just desert safari or visiting the opulent palaces and forts. It also offers tourists a chance to get to know the rural Rajasthan. Despite being one of the largest cities and a popular tourist destination, Bikaner still remains charmingly behind in a few modern developments. Think of Bikaner as a breath of fresh air among all the hustle-bustle of the other more popular and modernized cities of Rajasthan.

When you travel to Bikaner, remember that you are visiting the city of Usta Art, which is a unique art form that involves embossed geometric and floral patterns, along with layers of gold. Try to purchase a souvenir of Usta Art to remember the city by.

Finally, on your Bikaner city tour, it would be nearly sacrilegious to not include some time devoted simply to tasting some of the most delicious and also some of the spiciest dishes of all time. Remember to pack some of the snacks to take back home.

When on your Bikaner trip, it is a must that you plan your itinerary in a way that gives you a couple of leisure days along with days of sightseeing. You can enjoy your leisure days exploring the city on your own.

Asutosh's 7 days trip to Bikaner

All the hotels were good except Ranthambore Resort. For travel agents I have to do lot of follow up for any thing like Cab from Delhi to Jaipur he has sent all the details just an hour before reaching Delhi , in next 3 days we got 3 different cars with different drivers and each time I have to explain everything to drivers, once a fix driver was given then there wasn’t any issue. It was pure inexperience of travel agent or casual approach. I have spent a lot of money but wasn’t got the value against the same.

Rahul's 4 days trip to Bikaner

We had amazing experience in the trip. The travel agents were to the point and transparent. Rohit coordinated our travel plan, he was very helpful in customising our trip, hotels and experience bookings in advance. He helped me in deciding places of attraction. Asran ji took over as incharge once we landed in udaipur. He was very kind and prompt to us too. Our driver was good indeed, he was telling about the scams that happen in tourist places and warned us to stay away from them, however at one point in puskar we felt we succumbed to his scam when he assigned us to a guide who was his acquaintance and that guy took us to the priest who demanded us donations irrationally. I request the tourist companies to be aware of those things and keep a watch on their employees. But overall we are happy with our driver. He was punctual to the core and we never had to wait for him even it was in the beginning of the day or even when we went into a place to explore. He was always there. Thank you travel triangle for connecting us to such a wonderful travel agency and special thanks to Rohit for making this smooth and wonderful experience for us. Palace fort in udaipur, live sketching in udaipur palace, astonishing paintings, antiques and handicrafts, jaipur chappals, local artisan made sarees and comforts, local rajasthani cuisine ( we tried nearly 15+ local foods), cultural heritage, and many more I can write.
