Anse Intendance in Seychelles
Take in the big waves at Anse Intendance
Rated 4.60/5 ( based on 796 reviews )
About Anse Intendance in Seychelles
Anse Intendance is one of the most beautiful and most popular beaches of Mahe, Seychelles. It spreads for a mile across the southern coast of the island, with absolutely stunning views of the ocean in front and the mountainous scenery in the background. Anse Intendance, Mahe looks exactly like you see beaches in picture postcards – with turquoise blue seawater, powdery white sands, and towering granite formations behind. It is known for being the ‘wild’ beach of Seychelles.
Anse Intendance Beach is not one for diving or snorkeling. There are no coral reefs near to this beach, which means the sea gets deep very quickly from the shore. However, the same factor makes Anse Intendance an ideal destination for surfers. Deep sea creates big waves hitting the coast in a perfect frequency for a fulfilling surfing session. Swimming is not suggested for amateurs, but if you are used to big waves, you can certainly go ahead and take a dip. Other than that, the beach is a great place for sunbathing and relaxing or simply taking a stroll.
Pack a picnic with your family, take a romantic walk with your partner or spend a day with your current beach at the beach – Anse Intendance, Seychelles is ideal for all. For your sudden hunger pangs, there is Banyan Tree Resort right on the beach, which is also the only establishment on the beach except for a few shacks here and there. Grab yourself a drink or a bite at the resort and then continue on your seaside adventure under swaying palm trees lining the beach.
