About Clubbing in Seychelles
Seychelles is not really famous for nightlife so night owls have to settle for relatively quiet evenings. Due to the lack of urban areas, there aren’t many discotheques, strip-clubs, or pubs on the streets of Seychelles. Whatever little clubbing in Seychelles is there, it is mainly centered on the islands of Mahé and Praslin.
Two of the most happening spots to enjoy Seychelles nightlife are La Faya Bar and Tequila Boom. Both clubs are located at Bel Ombre in the Beau Vallon on Mahe Island. These clubs are open every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 pm to 4 am. Both places have famous local DJs playing the top tracks from around the world.
Katiolo Night Club on Mahe Island is the only discotheque in Seychelles that is by the beach. It is located past the SEZ International Airport on the north side of Mahe Island. With an open-air tropical décor, it is a lively place with excellent music ranging from international top hits to the local music. This Seychelles nightclub is popular among locals as well as travelers due to proximity to the airport. There is no entry fee for females on Wednesdays. Barrel Night Club, located on Revolution Avenue in downtown Victoria, is a favorite among the locals. It blasts all genres of music from hip-hop and rock to jazz and reggae and is a good place to mingle with local Seychellois people. Club Lovenut is in the center of Victoria downtown near the taxi stand. It is a top night spot for young people looking to raise the roof.
The Jungle is considered the most crowded club on Praslin Island and it is open every Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to dawn. Over the market near Saint Anne pier at Praslin Island is a disco dome. The place has groovy international music and is frequented by the locals and tourists alike. Oxygen Nightclub, with an intense party atmosphere, is another place to hang out on Praslin Island. The entry fee for each club varies on its owner and rules.
