Southern Ridges is Singapore’s one of the most surreal places to visit.

It is a 10 km long stretch of greenery connecting many green trails and parks. Walking through this stretch, will give you utmost pleasure and lets you experience the spectacular view of Singapore and the Southern Islands. This place lets you breathe in some fresh air amidst rich greenery and plantation. Southern Ridges in Singapore is a great option to relax and experience tranquility. The Southern Ridges comprises of five parks, which are Mount Faber Park, Kent Ridge Park, HortPark, Labrador Nature Reserve, and Telok Blangah Park.

The ridge is home to numerous flora and fauna. There is also a wave-like structure connecting Mount Faber Park and Telok Blangah Park, called Henderson Waves Bridge. The Henderson Waves Bridge bags the title of the highest pedestrian bridge in the country and is 36 m above the ground level. This undulating structure also has hidden niches where pedestrians can sit, relax and admire the surreal surroundings. In the evening the bridge looks amazingly pretty when it is all lit up with the LED lights.

The Southern Ridge in Singapore lets you relax in the lap of nature, take some amazing shots of the flora and fauna, and gives aesthetic views of dawn and dusk. You can undertake the canopy trail which is a 280 m long trail in the upper areas of the forest, here you can encounter some interesting flora and fauna. You can also pay a visit to the HortPark which is a beautiful horticulture garden with a building designed in the form of a resort. This garden features a beautiful collection of flowers well planted using techniques of horticulture. You can eat, relax and buy gardening items here.

Marang Trail is another trail to go for which will take you to the top of Mount Faber. Marang Trail is the starting point of the Southern Ridges which is full of lush greenery and some interesting birds and animals can also be spotted here. A major attraction of this trail is Saga trees which have bright coloured red seeds and symbolizes passion and everlasting love.

Canopy walk is the end point of the entire Southern Ridges trail. It is a connecting trail between HortPark and Kent Ridge Park. It is home to rich biodiversity that includes lizards, squirrels, sunbirds, doves and many other. In terms of flora, you can find pitcher plants and wild orchids here.
