How to Reach Viharamahadevi Park

Viharamahadevi Park is sandwiched between the white Colombo Town Hall building and the colonial-style National Museum building complex. The entrance gate in the north of the park near the Town Hall building along the F.R.Senanayake Mawath road is the most convenient. There are a couple of entry gates along the Green Path to the south.

The public park is located about 4 km from Fort Railway Station in Colombo. The domestic airport is located 15 km south of the park, while Bandaranaike International Airport is located 35 km north of the park. Taxis, buses, and tuk-tuks are available at both train station and the airport to reach the Viharamahadevi Park.

Majority of tourist attractions in Colombo such as Galle Face Green, Gangaramaya Temple, the National Museum of Colombo, and Dehiwala National Zoo are located nearby. So, a one-day tour of sightseeing in Colombo allows travelers to explore all these places via hop-on-hop-off buses.
