Tourist Places In Ooty

The scenic landscapes surrounding the town, in addition to the lush greenery all around and the misty roads, as well as the amazing Ooty destinations, are something that travelers from far and wide come over to the experience. Some of the best tourist places in Ooty are ensconced in the Nilgiris, also referred to as the Blue Mountains, where Eucalyptus trees give off a misty blue haze early in the morning. The lofty hills and the salubrious climate all through the year are the biggest attractions here, especially for nature lovers.

An Ooty sightseeing tour can bring one closer to nature, with attractions such as Pykara Lake and Falls, Dodabetta Peak, Ooty Botanical Gardens, Bellikal, Avalanche Lake, Ooty Rose Gardens, Dolphin’s Nose, Tiger Hill and Kamraj Sagar Lake among several others. For bird lovers, places such as Kalhatti Falls in Bellikal is a paradise. Local as well as migratory birds can be found here, along with several other animals such as deer, bison, bear, and tiger. However, the main attraction here is the lake, a huge placid pool with shores that are perfect for long walks and for enjoying in the lap of nature. For travelers indulging in an Ooty one day trip, a visit to Bellikal is a must. Although an Ooty one day tour package will not be enough to cover all the gorgeous attractions that the town has to offer, it will most defiantly be a start to an exploration of a different kind.

The botanical garden of Ooty is also a must-visit. It is maintained by the Horticulture Department, and is home to a plethora of rare, exotic and exquisite flora. There is also a chance for enjoying a short boat ride here when here. Doddabetta Peak, located at a height of 2,623 meters, is a treat for the eyes. Verdant and picturesque to the core, the Doddabetta Peak is a great place for enjoying nature’s beauty.

However, tourist attractions in Ooty are not limited to natural wonders only. In fact there are several museums, theme parks and historical monuments here that offer travelers a chance to know more about Ooty and Tamil Nadu as well.

There are also several other places in and around Ooty that offer visitors a much-needed respite from the hustle-bustle and pollution of city life. Ooty is a great place to lie back, relax, do nothing and simply let nature astound and relax oneself. The nearby Ooty tourist spots include Coonoor, Kotagiri, Calicut, Wayanad, and Mysore. Lovedale is one of the most popular tourist places near Ooty Tamil Nadu, and for good reason too. It is considered the perfect place for those looking to enjoy more privacy, as well as a sense of peace and quiet. A stay in Ooty can also be extended to include some of these places near Ooty. Vinay's 4 days trip to Ooty

Hotels are very good... liked them very much. Apart from that, we got new driver every day who don't know what is the plan and need to explain them every time. Planning is not proper. Thanks to sameera who was helpful when required. But the person who is managing the things at ooty, he is not at all good. He don't pick up phone when in need. He just ignore. He itself saying their drivers are idiots. Had problems with the driver. They will come very late which ruins all the plans of the day.

Varadharaj's 4 days trip to Ooty

Awesome Hotel... Amazing view.. Felt like we are staying in the clouds. Away from the hustle n bustle of commercial Ooty, i recommend this Hotel to everyone. If u lobe nature and want peace of mind, this is the place. The Cab driver - Shanmugam was very decent n courteous. He made sure we are comfortable n didnt rush us. I wish i could say the same for our Travel Agent - Victory World.. I used to get calls from them frequently before the booking.. but once the booking n payment was done, i was the one who was calling them up for details. No initiative from them. I was promised Toy train tickets which i did not get due to their negligence. Overall the trip was amazing but it would have been even better if our Travel Agent's services was better.
