Dudh Dhara Falls is one of the most stunning waterfalls in India that originates from the Narmada River. The fall got its name from its white milk-like color which translates to “Dudh” in Hindi. The fall got its name from the famous sage, Kapil, who resided here and indulged in numerous religious activities. The brainchild of Acharya Mandaleshwar of the Attal Akhada Sri Swami Shukdevanadji, Shri Yantra Mandir is one of the most unique places to visit in Amarkantak. This holy site has been under construction since 1991 as it can be done only during the auspicious Guru Pushya Nakshatra that falls around 4-5 days in a year.

Located inside a forest, Bhrigu Kamandal offers you to go on a soulful trail around the lush green surroundings. As per the locals, Rishi Bhrigu stayed in a small cave here during monsoon season. Inside the forest, there is a rock which was known to be the water resource for the rishi. To reach the place, you need to complete a 1.5 km trek.

Best time to visit

The destination experiences a moderate temperature throughout the year. However, you can plan a visit between winter months, from November to February when the temperature ranges between 8-25 degrees celsius. During the day, you can enjoy the sunshine, and chilly weather in the evenings. Moreover, 'Naramada Jayanti' which is the biggest festival of the city is celebrated during January, at the time of Makar Sankranti.
