About Museum hopping

Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, is one of the greenest and cleanest cities of India. Located in the heart of India, Bhopal is famously known as the city of lakes because of the presence of many natural and artificial lakes that dominate the city especially the two magnificent ones along with gentle rolling hills. These two lakes divide the city into two portions, the northern part which still has the old vibes with those grand mosques and historical places, while the southern part is the modern Bhopal.

Bhopal is a classic example of architectural and cultural heritage which dates back to the imperial times.

Travellers can know more about the art, culture and history of Mysore by visiting some of the museums such as Rupankar, Bharat Bhavan, Archaeological Museum, Tribal museum, Remember Bhopal Museum, and Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya.

The Rupankar Museum of Fine Arts in Bhopal is considered one of the finest art galleries in Madhya Pradesh because it has a fabulous collection of paintings and artefacts of tribal origin as well as urban art. There are about 6,000 tribal and folk art objects and nearly 2,500 urban artworks in the museum’s collection.

Another interesting and distinctive museum which should be visited by tourists who are in the city of Bhopal is the Tribal Museum. Archeological Museum is another attraction in the imperial city of Bhopal which stands adjacent to the Tribal museum and has a huge collection of archaeological treasures from across the state.

Remember Bhopal Museum has the memories of December 2, 1984 collected under one roof, and is situated just a few kilometers from the Union Carbide factory.

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya of Bhopal is also an important place to visit. Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) or National Museum of Humankind or Museum of Man is an anthropological museum located in Bhopal, which tries to present an integrated story of the evolution of man and culture with special reference to India through space and time.
