Indore Zoo in Madhya Pradesh

The Indore Zoo in Madhya Pradesh, also known as Kamla Nehru Prani Sangrahalaya is a huge zoological garden, located in  the centre of city in Navlakha area on the banks of Khan river. The zoo was established in 1974 in a mere area of 17 acres of land but kept on enlarging itself gradually and now stands at a huge area of 51 acres.

Being one of the top zoos among the total 180 small zoos recognised in the country, the administration of the Kamla Nehru zoo, Indore is completely in the hands of the Municipal Corporation and they have really done a brilliant work to maintain the glory of the zoo and a very healthy environment for the species to live in.
