FAQs for Rajasthan

What to eat in Rajasthan?

  • Dal Baati Churma is an essential dish of Rajasthan. The journey to Rajasthan is incomplete without this delicious cuisine.
  • Gatte ki Sabji is a very famous dish among the people of Rajasthan.
  • Laal Maas is a dish washed down by the mouth that surely tickles your bud.
  • Pyaaz ki Kachori, stuffed with onions, potatoes and some spices.

What are the cultural traditions?

Most human relationships are governed by a hierarchical caste system where each individual has a defined function. In Hindu temples and mosques you must take off your shoes before entering. The same happens when you enter into Sikh temples where you also have to cover your head. Don't forget to take off all the leather items you carry before entering the Jain temples. As for the mosques, Cover your arms and legs and don't have a scruffy look. In any case, do not touch any sculpture or the statue of a divinity.

Where this state located?

Rajasthan is the region between the Aravalli Mountains, which encloses very different lands such as the Thar, one of the driest deserts on the planet, and the fertile basin of the Dhundar River.

It was my family 's first trip to the nation 's capital and it turned out to be awesome! Thanks to Preeti Sharma for arranging and customising as per our need. She eased out my worries about the trip and tried to follow up everytime, ensuring our comfort. She addressed our concerns about the rooms that we stayed in Delhi and Agra, and tried her best to make it better. I'm happy and appreciative about her overall service in making our family trip a memorable one.

Experience was all over good but there was few issue which I have faced in hotel. 1. Food plates was not clean they seems to be yellowish, not proper wash. 2. As per quotation welcome drink is mentioned however hotel didn't provide welcome drink. 3. Curtains was very dirty. 4. As per quotation executive room was mentioned, however in the room which we stayed was not executive. Best part of my trip is location and jaipur food and all that.

Rohita's 6 days trip to Rajasthan

Overall the trip was ok. However two points we want to highlight, 1) Mount Abu and Jodhpur hotels were not up to the mark. Even the Jaisalmer desert camp was very average. 2) We felt the hotels were overpriced as compared to the price for we paid. Not good value for money. Will think twice before booking. Udaipur boat ride as well as Jeep Safari in Sam dunes

Tips

  • Always carry a handkerchief with you to cover your head when you visit any temple and dargahs in Rajasthan.
  • You should carry a foldable backpack. This lightweight folding backpack can be carried in the suitcase without taking up almost space and then used daily.
  • It is always necessary to carry a small first aid kit when you travel.
  • Make sure that you don’t plan a trip to Rajasthan in Summer season.
  • Have an idea of the traditions and food of Rajasthan.

The hike will take you through the unique desert and the beautiful mountain landscapes. You can sail through reflective lakes next to the elegant Udaipur City Palace complex, and stroll through the inspiring walls of the Mehrangarh Fort.

Visit Rajasthan to discover the eternal traditions that remain virtually unchanged throughout the centuries. The majestic palaces and fortresses make the trip to Rajasthan an extraordinary and distinctive experience. Where you can explore the decadent fortresses built by tribal kings, explicitly sculpted temples, flavour and experience the local culture and traditions. Feel the presence of popular culture in the streets expressed by local artisans, with colourful hand-embroidered textiles. This is an in fact miscellaneous adventure, from a camel trip in the deserts of Rajasthan. So plan your trip to Rajasthan and enjoy your holiday.
