Sneha's 2 days trip to Kashmir

At first, I was reluctant to book my trip with Travel Triangle as nowadays there are lot of fake websites and agents but seeing their payment terms which was to be done in three installments, I decided to book the trip with travel Triangle. Only 30% of the amount to be paid before the start of the trip and all the payment to be done through website build a sense of trust on them. They also assured that all the agents are verified ones. So, I confirmed my booking with Design your trips as the budget suited me well. The trip manager handled the queries very well, be it early morning or late night she was available to answer and make changes in my itinerary according to my needs. But just after payment of the 1st installment she informed that the hotel I have selected is not available and she suggested me a different hotel near to the previous one. I reacted negatively as how can she do this after payment but later I accepted it as the hotel turned out to be a good one with good staff and food. Also, she said that all hotels including houseboats in Srinagar have 24 hours check in and check out facility but that was again told to convince the customers, and we were told that at the houseboat that the check-out time is 12 o clock. Overall, the hotel was good, but the Cab driver was not up to the mark. Throughout the journey he was driving very roughly which is the last thing to do in the hilly terrains of Srinagar and Gulmarg. Before reaching Gulmarg, he stopped the vehicle at Tangmarg saying that we need to book a different vehicle from there for our onward journey to Gulmarg as the weather is not good uphill. But as guided by the tour manager if there is no snowfall there is no need of chained vehicles, and the same agency vehicle will go uphill. After bit of protesting he agreed to continue but he tried his best to avoid going for the side scenes stating that only local vehicles are allowed to do so. Even being the local of Srinagar, he did not guide while visiting the local sightseeing of Srinagar. Also want to inform that staying in houseboat include booking a Sikara for going to and fro to the houseboat which was provided free of cost only once. Overall, the experience was good with smooth payment system and customer friendly tour and travels providing customized trips. Gulmarg gondola, sikara ride at dal lake

Harish's 6 days trip to Kashmir

Yesterday, we successfully concluded our Kashmir trip and returned home safely. I had booked our tour with Guided Trip through Travel Triangle to explore the paradise on earth. Our first point of contact from Guided Trip was Aiman Ma’am, and I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to her for her valuable guidance, suggestions, and unwavering support. She was extremely flexible throughout the trip planning process, accommodating all our requests while preparing our itinerary. Aiman Ma’am went the extra mile by sharing the driver's contact details two days in advance, whereas most tour companies typically provide them just a day before. During the trip, she consistently checked in with the driver to ensure our safety and comfort. The payment process with Guided Trip was quite convenient, with 80% of the amount paid on the second day of our journey. Overall, the trip was pleasant with only a few minor hiccups — something to be expected when traveling to high-altitude, hilly regions

Things To Do In Kashmir

1. Explore the popular attractions of Srinagar

Located along the banks of the River Jhelum, Srinagar is known for its beautiful lakes, gardens, and historical monuments. There are many places of interest in Srinagar including Shankaracharya Temple, Mughal Gardens, Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh, Lal Chowk, Pahari Bhavan, Chashma Shahi, Hazratbal Shrine, and Hemis Monastery. While the capital is one of the most bustling cities you will ever experience, it is also one of the most cultural destinations in the country.

2. Shop at the local market

The local markets in Kashmir offer a great opportunity to shop for fresh fruits, vegetables, spices, and other food items. You'll find everything here from traditional Indian sweets to fresh pomegranates, apples, and oranges. The Zaina Kadal Road is a perfect place to start if you are in Srinagar as it is more centrally located and accessible easily from all major areas. It is also one of the best places to understand the local art and try some streetside delicacies.

3. Take a boat ride

Take a trip down Dal Lake in a wooden boat while enjoying the view of the surrounding mountains. Boats leave regularly throughout the day from different locations around the lake. While it is a mainstream activity that you will find often surrounded by crowds of tourists, it is worth making a trip to enjoy this classic experience that will give you a unique perspective of Kashmir and its relationship with nature.

4. Go hiking

Hiking is a great way to enjoy nature and get away from the busy city. Many popular trails lead out of the city and pass through the mountains. One trail goes through the picturesque pine forests of Gulmarg.

5. Explore the old town of Baramulla

Explore the narrow streets of the old town area where small shops sell souvenirs and clothes. Here you’ll find some of the oldest mosques in the region.

Tips

The only way to ensure that the trip is fruitful is if you plan even the most minute details. So, before you get sailing in paradise, here are a few tips to help you travel better:

  • Make sure you carry heavy woolen scarves, jackets, sweaters to enjoy the winter season.
  • If you plan on indulging in adventure sports like skiing, pack a pair of sturdy shoes to help you with it.
  • While you can use credit or debit cards at most places, keep some change when you are looking to buy local artisan goods. Ask about the price and bargain well before making the purchase.
  • Research well about the top tourist spots while booking Kashmir packages from Delhi.

Although Kashmir is perched at the top of the country and might seem to be secluded, the state is as hospitable and homely as it gets. The valley of Kashmir can rejuvenate your spirit by taking you closer to nature.
