Kashmir Honeymoon Package Price From Delhi (2026)

A Kashmir honeymoon from Delhi costs Rs 19,935 to Rs 25,250 per person on twin sharing, which is about Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,500 for a couple, before flights. A 5 night trip covering Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam starts at Rs 20,000 per person. Return flights from Delhi usually add Rs 6,000 to Rs 18,000 each.

Where Couples Go in Kashmir

Srinagar

Most couples take their first shikara ride within hours of landing, on Dal Lake. Srinagar is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir and the starting point for almost every trip, with the airport about 14 km from the lake. Set an alarm once for the floating vegetable market, which trades from boats at first light and is over by 7 am. The Mughal gardens fill the afternoons, and from late March the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden opens for about a month.

Gulmarg

Gulmarg, 49 km from Srinagar, is where most couples go for the Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world. Phase 1 climbs to Kongdoori and Phase 2 continues to Apharwat, close to 4,000 metres. In winter you can try skiing together on the beginner slopes, and in summer the meadow and the golf course turn green. Ponies are there for anyone who would rather not walk the climbs.

Sonamarg

Sonamarg sits about 80 km north-east of Srinagar on the Sindh river, and the Thajiwas Glacier is a pony ride or a short hike from the main road. The Himalayan peaks here have been a favourite Bollywood backdrop for decades. Since the Z-Morh tunnel opened in January 2025, the road to Sonamarg stays open in winter, though Zero Point and the Zojila beyond it close with the snow.

Pahalgam

Pahalgam means 'valley of shepherds', and it is the place couples most often wish they had given an extra night. The Lidder river runs through the town, Betaab Valley takes its name from the 1983 film shot there, and Aru Valley is a quiet village of meadows 12 km upstream. Outside cabs cannot drive these routes, so the local union cab is part of every Pahalgam day.

Jammu

Jammu is the winter capital of the Union Territory and the railhead most Delhi trains stop at. On a honeymoon it works as an add-on for couples who want a Vaishno Devi darshan from Katra, about 50 km away, or an evening at Raghunath Temple and Bahu Fort. Best Time for a Kashmir Honeymoon

Spring brings the blossoms from March to early May. Snow does not fall in August, whatever older guides say. It reaches Gulmarg in December and stays until March. If snow is the whole point, read when and where it snows in Kashmir before picking dates.

Getting From Delhi to Srinagar

By Air

Flying is the quickest way from Delhi, and it is what nearly every honeymoon package assumes. IndiGo, Air India and other airlines fly nonstop to Srinagar International Airport in 1 hr 15 min to 1 hr 45 min. Take a morning departure and you still get the day-one shikara. In winter, book the return flight for the afternoon or keep a buffer day, because snow in Srinagar can hold flights for a few hours.

By Train

Trains now run all the way to Srinagar, but there is no direct train from Delhi yet. The quickest daytime option is the Vande Bharat 22439 from New Delhi at 6 am to Jammu Tawi, then the 1:20 pm Vande Bharat to Srinagar, arriving around 6 pm. The connection is only about 40 minutes, so many couples take an overnight train to Jammu instead and catch the 6:20 am Vande Bharat, which reaches Srinagar at 11:10 am. Houseboat or Hotel? Where Couples Stay

Most packages give you one or two houseboat nights and a hotel for the rest, and that mix works well. A houseboat is the memory, with tea on the deck as the shikaras pass, while a hotel in Gulmarg or Pahalgam saves you an hour's drive each way.
