  • The best time (and therefore the most popular) to visit Rajasthan is during the winter, between October and March
  • The peak season for tourism in Rajasthan are months of December, January and (sometimes) February.
  • During this time, the weather in Rajasthan is pleasant: you will be hot in the sun during the day, but it is cold at night!
  • An alternative time to plan your trip to Rajasthan is during the monsoon (mid June to September).
  • Rajasthan receives much less rain, after all, it is largely a desert, than other states in India, the crowds are less during this time and the prices are cheaper.
  • The weather tends to be cloudy and humid (and can be humid / hot), so it is true that if you focus on light blue skies, winter is your time to visit. For this duration you can book Rajasthan package from Delhi.

How To Reach Rajasthan?

By Rail

Most of Rajasthan is well connected to Delhi and other parts of northwestern India by rail. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner serve as the main centers of the train station, although it is also possible directly from Delhi to Jaisalmer by train (daily, 18 hours). Delhi to Jaipur takes 5-6 hours. The distances even within Rajasthan are still large to cover, for example, the train from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is 8 hours, from Jaipur to Jodhpur, from 5 to 6 hours

By Road

Hiring a driver for some parts of the trip provides more flexibility and, depending on your budget, can be profitable if some people share shorter routes. Udaipur to Jodhpur has no train service, so many hire a driver for the 6-hour route, passing through the Jain temples in Ranakpur, or they can take the bus.

By Air

If you don’t want to spend too much hrs in train or bus then choose the air method to reach to the Rajasthan.

Ideal Duration

1 week is sufficient to see the major location of this state.

Mozhiarasu's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

The best thing happened is the drivers in the jodpur, who resolved the messed up plan by the travel agent. Hotel Sia Resorts changed and we have been changed to different resort, which was older property. The daywise plan made by the travel agent was absurd and created lot of confusion.

We have booked a tour to Rajasthan through Trip Sailor.com. The accommodation given was really good, the itinerary was nicely curated. But the driver was not up to the mark, he was driving very rashly. The driver as a person was good, he listened to us whenever we asked for anything but road awareness and road safety is important for a tourist driver. Other than that everything was really nice and smooth. It was a hassle free trip to Rajasthan. We really liked your service. Thankyou Sandeep from Trip Sailor.Com City Palace Jaipur was magnificent

Shraddha's 6 days trip to Rajasthan

We recently had an incredible trip to Rajasthan planned through Back to Holidays, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. A special thanks to Preeti from their team, who organized everything flawlessly. From the beginning, Preeti guided us with great recommendations, especially when it came to hotels. She assured us to trust her choices, and we are so glad we did! The hotels were amazing, with excellent rooms, great service, and delicious food. The vehicle arranged for our travel was comfortable, and our driver was extremely polite and professional. Throughout the trip, Preeti was always available whenever we needed any assistance, making sure everything went smoothly. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the desert camp. It was an unforgettable experience, and we are so thankful to Preeti for recommending it. Everything about it was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I traveled with my family(with 2.5 year old and senior citizen), and we all absolutely loved the entire journey. My parents were especially happy and had a wonderful time without a single complaint. This trip was a truly memorable one, and we highly recommend Preeti from Back to Holidays for a well-planned, stress-free vacation. Thank you, Preeti, and the team for making this trip so special!

Hi Back to Holidays Team, We have planned a trip this month to Rajasthan and your Executive Ms. Preeti Sharma has helped us a lot and planned our trip smoothly. The hotels suggested by her in a very cost-centric way and the properties are also good. Even during our trip, she has helped us on call and managed the things. I sincerely want to thank her for support and guidance.

Sidhu (Being Musafir) was a great person for planning the trip in Rajasthan to Agra and Delhi (final drop off at the airport). We did a trip in Rajasthan, Agra and Delhi which was organised by Sidhu. We had many changes in the initial planning phase. Sidhu was very patient and provided the right information, which helped us nail the final plan. He shared the hotels as per our requirements and budget. All the hotels were superb. Only once we had issues with the hotel, and after informing Sidhu, he re-booked us to a five star hotel instantly. It was a dream come true! Everyday, Sidhu used to call and inquire, of any issues we are having. And the driver+car provided by Sidhu for the trip, was just what we wanted for the trip! The Driver (Rakesh) never said "no" to any of our requests. He gave us all the right suggestions, being a local in Rajasthan, which also helped us very much. We could not have asked for more from Sidhu and Rakesh.

Hasale free booking and had a great time during my trip. The hotels and the guide during my trip were exceptional. The only issue is had was with the driver who was not local and did not know the routes which made it a bit difficult coz I had to rely on Google maps all the time. I loved the Jaisalmer hotel and also the guide. He was very knowledgeable
