  • An alternative time to plan your trip to Rajasthan is during the monsoon (mid June to September).
  • Rajasthan receives much less rain, after all, it is largely a desert, than other states in India, the crowds are less during this time and the prices are cheaper.
  • The weather tends to be cloudy and humid (and can be humid / hot), so it is true that if you focus on light blue skies, winter is your time to visit. For this duration you can book Rajasthan package from Delhi.

How To Reach Rajasthan?

By Rail

Most of Rajasthan is well connected to Delhi and other parts of northwestern India by rail. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner serve as the main centers of the train station, although it is also possible directly from Delhi to Jaisalmer by train (daily, 18 hours). Delhi to Jaipur takes 5-6 hours. The distances even within Rajasthan are still large to cover, for example, the train from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is 8 hours, from Jaipur to Jodhpur, from 5 to 6 hours

By Road

Hiring a driver for some parts of the trip provides more flexibility and, depending on your budget, can be profitable if some people share shorter routes. Udaipur to Jodhpur has no train service, so many hire a driver for the 6-hour route, passing through the Jain temples in Ranakpur, or they can take the bus.

By Air

If you don’t want to spend too much hrs in train or bus then choose the air method to reach to the Rajasthan.

Ideal Duration

1 week is sufficient to see the major location of this state.

We have booked a tour to Rajasthan through Trip Sailor.com. The accommodation given was really good, the itinerary was nicely curated. But the driver was not up to the mark, he was driving very rashly. The driver as a person was good, he listened to us whenever we asked for anything but road awareness and road safety is important for a tourist driver. Other than that everything was really nice and smooth. It was a hassle free trip to Rajasthan. We really liked your service. Thankyou Sandeep from Trip Sailor.Com City Palace Jaipur was magnificent

Raja's 6 days trip to Rajasthan

I registered for the Rajasthan Trip for 5N/6D covering Jaipur(2N), Jodhpur (1N) and Jaisalmer (2N) in the TT website in the month of December for the family tour (4-members). Though, there were a few hiccups, overall experience was memorable and satisfactory. The TT agent (Ms.Himanshi, Doodle Holidays) is so generous and helpful right from the tour planning to the execution. She has been quick in responding to calls, took prompt action and did the needful throughout the whole trip. Hotel rooms (premium rooms with extra bed) provided (VOnePride@Jaipur, Chandra Inn@Jodhpur, Rojani Resort and the Elite Castle@Jaisalmer) are good. The best ones were the Chandra Inn and Rojani Resort. If I have to comment any that will be towards the betterment of the transport service. I feel that the TT agents shall seek for drivers details name, photo, rating etc) from the assisting transport agency, and share to the tourists before the trip commencement. This will aid the tourist to know who is arriving and accompanying them in the tour. This will further aid in avoiding the intermittent driver changeovers and uncomfort to tourists. I feel that TT shall instruct their respective tour assisting transport agency to inform intermittent driver changeovers if any immediately and convey the same with the tourists, but not vice- versa. Also shall ensure, whether the transport agency has shared the tour itinerary with their assigned drivers. These things can be improved, with a little extra effort by the TT agents. I appreciate Ms Himanshi's efforts in this aspect in stopping the intermittent driver changeovers and retaining the same cab and driver throughout the journey. Visit to Amer Fort, City Palace, Albert Hall Museum, Gulab Ghar (personal choice), Jaswant Thada, Mehrangarh fort, stat at Sam Sand Dunes, Jaisalmer fort, Patwon ki haveli, etc.

U may ask the driver to follow the itinerary plan without altering/change the visiting location. So that we will not miss the planned visiting places. And mostly drivers are using mobile whole driving, even though they may may have most experience, it makes uncomfortable to the traveller. Jodhpur red stone palace and megargh palace. And Jaisalmer Jeep and camel ride etc ...

We booked our 5n/6d trip through agent Kingsland holidays. Mr Mohit and his team made it quite simple and easy for us to book our holidays. They also called and checked with us once we reached our first destination. Our entire experience right from booking(through Travel triangle) until our drop back at the airport was seamless. We visited Udaipur, Jodhpur Jaisalmer and Stayed a night at Jaisalmer Sand dunes. Hotel stay at each of these places was good. Our driver Mr Dhara Singh ji had complete knowledge of all these places in and out. He guided us well as where we need to take guide, shuttle services, etc. He also guided us well with respect to shopping and food at each of these places. We had so many memories created in this vacation which we will cherish forever. All our holidays will definitely be planned only through travel triangle as they have created a benchmark now. Thanks and Cheers

Sukanksha's 7 days trip to Rajasthan

Overall a good experience. This could have been a flawless experience had there been a better communication between the travel agent and the cab service provider. The driver didn't have the proper itinerary and address of the hotels which created unnecessary chaos. Other than this the trip was very good. The drivers were polite and respectful and the hotels were really beautiful.
