  • An alternative time to plan your trip to Rajasthan is during the monsoon (mid June to September).
  • Rajasthan receives much less rain, after all, it is largely a desert, than other states in India, the crowds are less during this time and the prices are cheaper.
  • The weather tends to be cloudy and humid (and can be humid / hot), so it is true that if you focus on light blue skies, winter is your time to visit. For this duration you can book Rajasthan package from Delhi.

How To Reach Rajasthan?

By Rail

Most of Rajasthan is well connected to Delhi and other parts of northwestern India by rail. Jaipur, Jodhpur and Bikaner serve as the main centers of the train station, although it is also possible directly from Delhi to Jaisalmer by train (daily, 18 hours). Delhi to Jaipur takes 5-6 hours. The distances even within Rajasthan are still large to cover, for example, the train from Jaisalmer to Jodhpur is 8 hours, from Jaipur to Jodhpur, from 5 to 6 hours

By Road

Hiring a driver for some parts of the trip provides more flexibility and, depending on your budget, can be profitable if some people share shorter routes. Udaipur to Jodhpur has no train service, so many hire a driver for the 6-hour route, passing through the Jain temples in Ranakpur, or they can take the bus.

By Air

If you don’t want to spend too much hrs in train or bus then choose the air method to reach to the Rajasthan.

Ideal Duration

1 week is sufficient to see the major location of this state.

Vishal's 8 days trip to Rajasthan

Hotels: While other hotels were decent, experience at The Lighthouse in Jaipur was bad. First they tried to push us to some other hotel and we had to be at reception for several minutes. Then quality of linen was bad. It was dirty and we had to request to change entire set. Sheets and covers weren't washed and stinking. Rating for Jaipur hotel is 2 out of 5. Hotels in Agra, Mathura, Udaipur and Jodhpur were good. No complaints. Cab: Cab was in decent condition and driver was polite. But driver was inexperienced in tourism. He didn't know the routes and was trying to drop us far before the monuments, while other vehicles were going much closer. We had to walk a lot with small kids. Travel Agent: Travel Agent was decent. They created a WhatsApp group and responded to our needs in timely manner. Jodhpur and Agra were good.

Vijay's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

Overall the trip was ok , while we see there is a lot of scope for improvement, We were not happy with the recommendations completely. The Hotel in Delhi was good, the Agra hotel was decent for 3*, but was expecting more from a 4* hotel in Jaipur as lot of hype was given during booking and package cost for made high considering this, except for the room the hotel was not upto mark. The bad thing was the cab, the operator did tell me that it will be swift dzire but did not tell us that it is CNG and we have keep our language on top. It was raining in delhi during our visit and we literally had to keep the luggage under our leges making it very uncomfortable to sit, the driver did not have anything to protect luggage from rain. Overall it was decent trip , i would think twice if i have to book from same operator. The best part of the trip was the support from the Driver.

Booked through Being Mussafir but the services and support was not as desired, moreover the commitment against the words were found lagging. After doing additional payment as per change in travel dates the support from travel agent was not satisfactory. Had to get connected every time for rooms in hotels. Payment of Rs.4450 is still pending to be received back from the travel agent.

It was a memorable trip to Rajasthan, and Pooja Ma'am made it an unforgettable experience. From providing all the necessary information to flawlessly handling our bookings, her dedication was exceptional. As two women travelling, she ensured our safety by offering her own driver and vehicle, which made the journey both secure and comfortable. Pooja Ma'am remained accessible throughout, addressing any concerns promptly and making the trip seamless and memorable. I highly recommend this agency for their professionalism and customer-first approach.

Sub's 9 days trip to Rajasthan

Very helpful transparent and flexible travel agency. For our rajasthan trip, i had multiple discussions with Pooja to finalize the itinerary, including places that we wanted to visit. As we had small kids with us and were travelling in the peak of winter, appropriate rooms with heater, were arranged in Jaisalmer. All the hotels allotted were up to the mark. Small incidental problems were resolved with one call to Pooja. The driver and car allotted was also good. I would definitely recommend Rajasthan desert holidays and pooja.

With best wishes Jaipur and udaypur sightseeing and food consumed to our regular different

Prashant's 5 days trip to Rajasthan

Overall the trip was very well planned. Good hotels and comfortable coach. Our only problem was that we had 2 drivers - one for the first 2 days and another for the next 2 days. The first driver was exceptional, drove well, gave us info on each location and was generally very friendly. The second driver was in a constant hurry, drove rashly and was consistently trying to shortchange us. He was not sticking to the itinerary and dropped us at long distances from the actual location citing frivolous reasons like "it's not allowed to take coaches over there" etc. Would recommend travel triangle overall for planning a good travel but the quality of drivers needs to improve

Thank you for organizing such a wonderful trip. I really appreciated all the care and effort that went into making it enjoyable! While the hotels in Jaisalmer and Jodhpur did not meet our expectations, the accommodations at the other locations were fantastic. Driver Mangilal Meena was excellent and provided a good guidance across the trip. Overall experience was excellent and memorable.
