Mumbai to Bali Flights: Via Chennai Now, Non-stop from 1 January 2027
There is one flight number from Mumbai to Bali, 6E 1607, and the way it flies changes on 1 January 2027. Until 31 December 2026, IndiGo's 6E 1607 leaves Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International (BOM) in the early hours, makes a technical stop in Chennai where you stay on board, and lands at Ngurah Rai (DPS) the same day after about 9 hours. From 1 January 2027 the route moves to the longer-range A321XLR and flies straight through: 07:45 out of Mumbai, 17:50 into Bali.
| Flight | Leaves | Arrives (local) | Stops | Journey |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| IndiGo 6E 1607, until 31 Dec 2026 | Mumbai, early hours | Denpasar, same day | Technical stop in Chennai, same aircraft | About 9 h |
| IndiGo 6E 1607, from 1 Jan 2027 | Mumbai 07:45 | Denpasar 17:50 | Non-stop | 7 h 35 min |
| IndiGo 6E 1608, from 1 Jan 2027 | Denpasar 18:50 | Mumbai 23:45 | Non-stop | About 7 h 25 min |
| Singapore Airlines, Scoot, Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, Batik Air, Thai | Several daily | One stop in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok | 10 to 14 h with the layover |
Bali's clock runs 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Mumbai, so a 7 h 35 min flight that leaves at 07:45 lands at 17:50 local time. That is why every package treats day one as an arrival day and starts the sightseeing on day two. The flight home leaves Bali in the evening, so you get a full last day on the island. Until December it reaches Mumbai via Chennai at about 01:10 the next morning. From January 2027 the non-stop lands at 23:45 the same night.
A return economy ticket from Mumbai usually costs INR 40,000 to INR 55,000 per person on off-peak dates. Fares jump in Diwali week, from mid-December to the first week of January, and in May when Maharashtra schools close. Book 8 to 12 weeks ahead for those dates. For the full route comparison, baggage notes and airport transfer times, read our guide on how to reach Bali from Mumbai.

Which Mumbai Package Fits You
First trip, tight budget. Take the Incredible Bali Tour at INR 40,999. In 5 nights it covers the north (Bedugul, Ulun Danu Beratan, Tanah Lot), the south (Benoa water sports, Uluwatu) and the hills around Ubud and Kintamani.
You can spare a week. Our 6-night Kuta and Seminyak package from Mumbai adds a day on Nusa Lembongan, with a beach club and Mushroom Bay, then two nights in a Seminyak pool suite. With an evening arrival and an evening departure, it gives you five full days in Bali.
Bali plus a city break. Mumbai has its own live Singapore and Bali packages. The Fascinating Singapore Bali Package From Mumbai runs 7 nights from INR 1,04,999, and the honeymoon version starts at INR 74,999. Indian passport holders need a Singapore visa for this one.
Smaller or bigger budget. For cheaper land-only trips see the budget Bali tour packages. For 5-star resorts and private pool villas see the luxury Bali tour packages. Travelling with children? Start with the Bali family tour packages.
Every package uses the same handful of bases. Kuta is 20 minutes from the airport, with the surf beach and Beachwalk mall on foot. Jimbaran sits on the southern bay where seafood is grilled on the sand. Seminyak, just north of Kuta, is beach clubs and boutiques. Ubud, an hour inland, is temples, the Monkey Forest and the drive up to the Mount Batur viewpoint at Kintamani. For timings and entry fees of each sight, see our guide to places to visit in Bali.
Bali Trip Cost from Mumbai with Flights, for One and for Two
A 5-night Bali trip from Mumbai costs about INR 84,400 to INR 99,400 per person on our lowest-priced package once you add the return flight, the visa on arrival and the tourist levy. For a couple that is about INR 1.69 lakh to INR 1.99 lakh. The table adds every fixed charge so you can compare like with like.
| Trip from Mumbai | Package (2 people) | Visa on arrival + levy (2 people) | Return flights from Mumbai (2 people) | Couple total with flights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 5N/6D Incredible Bali Tour (Kuta, Jimbaran, Ubud) | INR 81,998 | about INR 7,000 | INR 80,000 to INR 1,10,000 | about INR 1.69 lakh to INR 1.99 lakh |
| 5N/6D Spellbinding Indonesia Tour (Kuta, Ubud) | INR 1,05,998 | about INR 7,000 | INR 80,000 to INR 1,10,000 | about INR 1.93 lakh to INR 2.23 lakh |

| 5N/6D Splendid Indonesia Honeymoon | INR 1,27,400 | about INR 7,000 | INR 80,000 to INR 1,10,000 | about INR 2.14 lakh to INR 2.44 lakh |
| 6N/7D Bali Indonesia Package (Kuta, Seminyak) | INR 1,32,000 | about INR 7,000 | INR 80,000 to INR 1,10,000 | about INR 2.19 lakh to INR 2.49 lakh |
The Singapore combinations need a multi-city ticket (Mumbai to Singapore, Singapore to Bali, Bali to Mumbai) and a Singapore visa, so your planner prices those flights separately. Lunches and dinners are not in these packages. A plate of nasi goreng at a Kuta warung costs a few hundred rupees, while a beach-club dinner for two in Seminyak can pass INR 3,000. Two add-ons are worth folding into the quote before you fly: a Nusa Penida day trip and the 4 am Mount Batur sunrise trek.
A 5-Night Bali Itinerary Timed for the Mumbai Flight
This is the day plan of the Incredible Bali Tour Package From Mumbai, re-timed for travellers flying from Mumbai. The PDP opens with Uluwatu on day one. We move it to day three. You arrive after a pre-dawn start from Mumbai, and from January 2027 the flight lands at 17:50, too late to reach Uluwatu for the Kecak dance at around 6 pm.
| Day | Where you stay | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Day 1 | Kuta | Fly from Mumbai. Your driver meets you at Ngurah Rai and you reach the Grand La Walon in Kuta in about 20 to 40 minutes, depending on evening traffic. Dinner on your own and an early night |
| Day 2 | Kuta | Full-day trip north with a 7 am start, about 6 to 7 hours on the road: the royal temple at Taman Ayun, the Ulun Danu Beratan lake temple at Bedugul and Gitgit Waterfall (40 minutes beyond Bedugul), then back south to Tanah Lot for sunset |
| Day 3 | Jimbaran | Move to Jimbaran Bay Resort. Benoa water sports in the morning: banana boat, jet ski, a single parasail and a scuba dive on sharing. Uluwatu clifftop temple and the Kecak fire dance at sunset |
| Day 4 | Ubud | Drive to the Abirama villa in Ubud (1.5 to 2 hours). Free afternoon by the pool or at the Ubud Art Market |
| Day 5 | Ubud | Full-day Kintamani tour: the Celuk silver village, a coffee plantation, the Tegallalang rice terraces and the Mount Batur and Lake Batur viewpoint |
| Day 6 | Free morning in Ubud for the Monkey Forest. Check out after lunch and drive to the airport for the evening flight to Mumbai |
Want a sixth night? Add Seminyak at the end so the trip finishes on a beach, or swap day five for a Nusa Penida boat to Kelingking and Broken Beach. Read about the Nusa Penida day trip before you choose.

Bali Visa on Arrival and Tourist Levy for Mumbai Travellers

| Return ticket | Carry your return booking; immigration at Mumbai T2 and at Ngurah Rai can ask for it |

Best Time to Go to Bali from Mumbai
The best time to visit Bali from Mumbai is April to October, Bali's dry season. It lines up neatly with Mumbai's own monsoon: in July, when the local trains are running late through waterlogged tracks, Bali is sunny at around 27 to 30°C and the sea to Nusa Lembongan is at its calmest.
| Months | Bali weather | What it means if you fly from Mumbai |
|---|---|---|
| April to June | Dry, 27 to 31°C | Good weather. May fares rise with Maharashtra school holidays; June is the best value |
| July to August | Driest and busiest | Peak season with European holidaymakers. Book flights and hotels 8 weeks ahead |
| September to October | Dry, quieter | The sweet spot for weather and price. Ganeshotsav week in September and Diwali push fares up |
| November to March | Wet season, short heavy afternoon showers | Cheapest hotels, except Christmas to New Year, the costliest fortnight to fly |
Bali stops completely for Nyepi, the Day of Silence. In 2027 it falls on Monday 8 March, and Ngurah Rai airport closes for 24 hours, so no flights run that day. For a month-by-month breakdown, read our guide on the best time to visit Bali.
Before You Leave Mumbai: Practical Tips
• Reach Terminal 2 three hours early. All international flights, Bali included, leave from T2 at Sahar, Andheri East. From South Mumbai, Navi Mumbai or Thane, book your cab the night before for an early-hours departure.
• Keep your documents together. Passport, e-VoA, levy QR code, arrival-card QR code and hotel vouchers, on your phone and on paper.
• Carry basic medicines. Motion-sickness tablets for the Nusa Lembongan boat, plus anything you take daily. Pharmacies in Bali stock different brands.
• Do not drive at night in the countryside. Roads up to Kintamani and Bedugul are narrow and poorly lit. Your package includes a driver, so leave the night roads to them.
• Use Bluebird taxis or app cabs. In Kuta and Seminyak, flag only the blue Bluebird cars or book through an app; unmarked cars quote far higher fares.
• Buy a local SIM at the airport. A Telkomsel or XL tourist SIM at Ngurah Rai costs much less than Indian roaming.
• Pack a sarong for temples. Uluwatu, Tanah Lot and Ulun Danu Beratan require one; most temples lend or rent them at the gate.
