How to reach Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar

As the Mansa Devi Temple is located atop the Sivalik hills you can reach there by foot or cable cars. The ropeway service is known as “Mansa Devi udankhatola” which was introduced for the benefits of the pilgrims to visit with ease. Walking requires one and a half kilometer trek uphill and there are 786 total steps which can be climbed in 15 minutes. The other way is to travel by ropeways by cable cars to reach the top and then walk on their way back.

Many people prefer to take the cable cars to reach the temple as walking uphill during hot summer months can be quite draining. The length of the ropeway is 540 meters and the height is 178 meters. The first cable car starts running at 7 am in the month of April and at 8 am the rest of the year. The departure point of the cable car is located in the center of the town.
