656; margin-top: 0pt; margin-bottom: 0pt; text-align: justify;">Traveling from Mumbai to Uttarakhand by flight is the fastest and most convenient way to travel between the two cities. Travelers can also use the railway services as the direct train Dehradun Express has made traveling from Mumbai to Uttarakhand by train quite easy. For those looking forward to their next venture or adventure in the Himalayas, it doesn’t get better than Uttarakhand. Travelling solo or with your loved ones with a bite of crisp mountain air and murmur of gurgling freshwater streams is hardly unmatched by any travel destination in India. The Kumaon region makes up the southeastern districts in Uttarakhand while Garhwal region comprises northwestern area. Almora is the cultural capital of Kumaon region while the Garhwal region is centred by the state capital Dehradun. High-altitude roads, or whatever passes for it, offer thrilling experiences to out-of-state travellers. The state of Uttarakhand is easily accessible by any mode of transport: road, rail, and air. Looking up on how to reach Uttarakhand?

Here is our detailed information:

Popular places to visit in Uttarakhand include Dehradun, Nainital, Mussoorie, Rishikesh, and Jim Corbett National Park. The state is also the site of several pilgrimage places which are thronged by thousands of devotees. Each of these destinations is well-connected with major metro cities in India.

How to reach Uttarakhand by air:

There are two domestic airports in Uttarakhand. The Jolly Grant Airport (DED) in Dehradun is located 22 kilometres from the city centre. It is served by regular nonstop flights from Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chennai. Alliance Air, IndiGo, and Jet Airways provide commercial flights to and from Dehradun. Pantnagar Airport (PGH) serves as a gateway to hill stations like Nainital, Ranikhet, and Almora. The distance between Jim Corbett National Park and Pantnagar Airport is about 120 km.

How to reach Uttarakhand by road:

One of the main reasons to visit the hills in Uttarakhand is the joy that comes from the time spent on the road itself. The state has more than 1,328 km of national highways and 1,543 km of state highways. The Uttarakhand Transport Corporation runs around 1000 buses in and out of the state. Haridwar and Rishikesh are connected to Delhi by NH 34 and NH 7 passes through Dehradun with Badrinath. Highways 109 and 309 interlink Nainital, Almora, and Jim Corbett National Park. The proposed Char Dham Highway will connect all four major pilgrimage sites in Uttarakhand. Taxi rentals are available in all major travel destinations in Uttarakhand.

How to reach Uttarakhand by train:

Reaching Nainital or Dehradun by rail is the cheapest and perhaps the most convenient way to visit. The train station in Kathgodam, 35 km from Nainital, is the last terminus of the North East railways. Kathgodam train station has rail connectivity with Delhi, Dehradun, and Howrah (Kolkata). Trains to Dehradun railway station come from Delhi, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab. Jan Shatabdi Express, Dehradun Express, Doon Express, and Nanda Devi Express are major trains serving Uttarakhand.

Meghana's 6 days trip to Uttarakhand

Hello Back2hodlidays, We recently had a trip to Mussoorie Uttrakhand with the help of Travel assistant shreya from Back2holidays. The planning and execution were done very well. We have covered almost all the places as per the plan only 2 were missed. Shreya was very helpful from the start of planning to trip till the end. She has provided all the required information what ever we have asked for.. Coming to the trip, had a really good time. Only the 1st hotel at Deharadun was not up to the mark either the rooms not the food was that great. The remaining 2 hotels for the stay were good. Stay and food in Mussoorie was nothing to be questionable, but the staff in Danaulti (The Groove Garden) were bit harsh and food was also not soo good. The driver travelled along with us was also good and no issues , but it would be really helpful if the driver allocated are locals or frequent visitors of that place, as our driver was not aware of all the places it was bit difficult for us to know the routes and were dependent on the google maps which delayed our jrny. Rest all was really good, had a great time throughout the trip. Thanks Shreya for all ur support during this period of jrny.

Ravindra's 6 days trip to Uttarakhand

Overall we enjoyed the tour and very professionally arranged. Good part- 1. Bus was good and driver very good. 2. Very accommodating to last minute changes 3. Hotels at Rishikesh and Jim Corbett were very good Bad part- No plan to put bad part in TT review. Just for your understanding. Traffic - it’s not something anybody could do anything but little help in planning activities could have been useful.

Anuraag's 5 days trip to Uttarakhand

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ just now – New Adventure Mania organized a wonderful family trip for us from Delhi to Uttarakhand. The experience was absolutely fantastic. We stayed at one of the best properties in Bhimtal, offered at a very competitive price. The transportation arrangements were smooth, and the driver was extremely helpful and cooperative. Special thanks to Vimesh ji from Adventure Mania, who remained in constant touch throughout the trip and was always available to assist us. His support made our trip even more enjoyable.
