How to Reach Lakshman Jhula in Rishikesh

As per the mythological importance it is said that Lord Lakshman, the brother of Lord Ram crossed the bridge which at that time was believed to be made of the ropes of jute and there is a kund near the bridge in which both Ram and Lakshman are believed to have taken a bath after killing Ravana to get rid of their sins.

Regardless of this belief the tourists come to this spot not just because of this reason but also for the reasons stated above. The very first question that arises in the mind of the traveller is how to reach Lakshman Jhula Rishikesh?

Well to answer this basic query I would say that to reach Lakshman Jhula there are many ways which include the following:

Rishikesh is very close to the airport in Dehradun which has only two flights from Delhi. However, the runway is being extended and soon there might be a few more flights which would be from other metros. Lakshman Jhula is approximately at about 22 Kms of driving distance from the Dehradun airport.

Taking a car from Delhi airport to Dehradun is also an option. It is a 6 - 7 hours drive from Delhi to Dehradun and costs about 5000- 8000 INR.

There are many trains to Rishikesh from various cities and the Lakshman Jhula is just 4 - 5 kms from the Rishikesh railway station.

There are many option in terms of buses to reach the spot and there are many bus services which go to the city of Rishikesh and once there it is easy to reach Lakshman Jhula.
