Triveni Ghat is located in Mayakund, Rishikesh Uttarakhand.

This ghat is on the banks of Holy River Ganga. This ghat is used for baths by pilgrims. You will find idols of Lord Vishnu and Krishna here. Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh is the meeting point of three holy rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati. It is the most honored holy bathing spot. It is believed that if someone takes bath in the ghat their sins are washed off. They will be rescued from all the sins of past. Daily thousands of devotees take bath at the ghat.

Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat it is the main attraction for tourists and pilgrims. Triveni Ghat Aarti timings are 6 pm to 7 pm all days of the week. Triveni Ghat Aarti time may vary in summer and winter season according to the timing of the sunset. Triveni Ghat has a market too. Here you will find religious books, handicraft, semi-precious and precious gems, idols. There are also plenty of hotels near Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh ranging from luxury hotels to comfy guesthouses.

History of Triveni Ghat Rishikesh

Triveni Ghat plays an important part in Hindu Mythology and the Puranas. It is also mentioned in Ramayana and Mahabharata. It is believed that Lord Krishna reached this spot when he was hurt by an arrow shot by Jara – a hunter. This Ghat is also considered as cremation ground of Lord Krishna. The union of three rivers (sangam) is termed holy in Hindu Mythology. This makes Triveni Ghat one of the holiest places to visit in India.
