History of Ripley’s Aquarium

Originally, the Ripley's Aquarium was to be built near the Niagara Falls. However, the plans fell apart due to various reasons back in 2004. The Ripley's Aquarium’s construction was relocated and was to be built near Ripley's Aquarium. The construction for Ripley's Aquarium of Canada began in 2011,and the aquarium was opened to the public in October 2013. The aquarium has various corridors linking to Ripley’s Aquarium, Roger’s center, and Front Street.

Attractions of Ripley’s Aquarium

The main attraction of the Ripley's Aquarium in Toronto is the 97-meter tunnel with a walkway to the dangerous lagoon. This tunnel helps the visitors see sharks of various kinds and includes marine animals such as Sand Tiger, eels, Green Sea Turtles, Sawfish, Sandbar,and Reef Sharks.

The two live shows here, namely Ray Bay Dive and Rainbow Reef Dive are quite popular and aid to the attractiveness of the aquarium. Another features that make Ripley's Aquarium a tourist magnet is the touch tank feature, where the visitors can touch the tanks to feel various marine animals.

Sprawling over 12,500 sq. meters of area, Ripley’s Aquarium is one of the must-visit attractions on a tour of Toronto. Housing more than 16,000 marine animals, here is an adventurous experience awaiting for everyone. What’s more?
