About Vagator Beach

One of the most popular beaches in Goa for nightlife scene, Vagator Beach is the ultimate party destination for travellers. Sandwiched nicely between fresh water springs and shopping stalls, this crescent-shaped beach is frequented by western and domestic tourists alike. If partying till dawn is not your thing, Vagator Beach in Goa is also visited for water sports opportunities.

The beach is, in fact, is categorised into two smaller beaches: Big Vagator and Little Vagator. Big Vagator Beach is lined with palm plantations. The main beach has white sand and is undeniably beautiful. Swimming and sunbathing are popular activities to do here. Little Vagator beach to the south is more secluded and hence more frequented by honeymooners. At the end of the beach, there is a prominent landmark featuring Shiva sculpted on a rock on the coast.  

Vagator Beach in North Goa is famous for rave parties which go on till the wee hours of the night. Needless to say, Vagator Beach is the ultimate party destination in Goa. Chapora Fort and Anjuna Beach are major places to visit near Vagator Beach. Anjuna Beach is also known for a flea market, rave parties, and water sports activities. The 500-year-old Chapora Fort was built by the Portuguese. It sits on a small hill overlooking the Vagator Beach.

Every Saturday of the month, Flea market is held by Germans at Vagator Beach. It is the most vibrant and largest flea market of Goa. Visitors can bargain for jewellery, designer dresses, shoes, bags, crockeries, and souvenirs. Water sports at Vagator Beach range from adventure activities like parasailing and jets skiing to leisurely pastimes like swimming and evening walks. Travellers can also go on a short hike to reach at the top of Chapora Fort. Upon reaching at the top, the beautiful scenery of Vagator and Morjim beach is a great reward. So, there’s no dearth of things to do in Vagator Beach.

Vagator's beauty can be observed better while admiring the view of the sea during sunset from the cliffs. And after sunset, when the nightlife enlivens with dance and music at popular party venues like 'Hill-Top' and 'Nine Bar' near Vagator Beach.

The Orange House, La Gulls Court, Alcove Resort Goa, Goan Clove, Omega Beach Resort, and Ozran Heights Beach Resort are places to stay near Vagator Beach. Be it luxury resorts or budget guest houses, all kind of accommodation options are available near the beach.
