Anjuna Beach, GoaIf you are a beach lover, you must pay a visit to the hippie hangout Anjuna beach in North Goa on a holiday here. There are plenty of watersports, flea markets, restaurants, shops, yoga centers, spas, and buzzing nightclubs here! The beach parties here are one-of-a-kind and though it is lot quieter now, there is still a lot to look forward to for the techno and trance lovers. At the Anjuna Beach flea market held on every Wednesday, you can pick up a variety of items like Tibetan curios, silver jewelry, African musical instruments, tie-dye t-shirts, traditional Rajasthani clothing and psychedelic-colored sarongs.
The best time to visit this beach would be during the winter months from November to February when the weather is cool and the beach parties and shacks are in full spring. This is also the perfect place for you and your entire family to enjoy a quiet picnic on the banks of this beach. You can stroll around the laterite cliffs here and play with the red rocks and boulders along the beach shores.
There is plenty to fill your tummies here as well like the Cafe Diogo, Banyan Soul, Casa Anjuna or the Whole Bean Tofu. To party the night away, try the Sea Bar. The psychedelic lights all around and the local people, as well as the foreign tourists here, make for a great holiday experience. For watersport enthusiasts, parasailing and jet skiing are good options to get that adrenaline rush. After spending a few hours, one can simply take a taxi or bike from Anjuna Beach to Baga Beach or Calangute Beach.
Make merry and enjoy the local vibe of one of Goa’s most beautiful tourist spots, the Anjuna Beach and get back into the groove of the hippie tradition!
