Jayanta's 6 days trip to Kasol

It was a pleasant experience, and travel Vichar helped us acquire everything we needed on schedule. Tushar, a member of their team, is always available to assist, especially with all the planning. He worked really hard to get everything done. A little dissatisfied with the amenities and hotel choices. The location of the hotels in Jibhi and Manali is poor. Particularly few options are available for breakfast and dinner. However, cab planning is excellent, and the driver, @Narendra, is very kind and punctual. Booking through Travel Vichar is absolutely recommended, however please be explicit about the hotel requirements.

Tips

  • Pre-book your packages and stay, sine Kasol can get really crowded, especially during the high season.
  • Make sure that you have enough cash to cover your trip. This is because Kasol only has a couple of ATMs, and they are apt to be broken down most of the times.
  • Remember to carry a powerful torch, since it gets really dark as soon as the sun sets.
  • Avoid trekking in Kasol during the monsoon season. It gets really slippery and dangerous, especially if you are not used to walking on such terrains.
  • Don’t go swimming in the Parvati River. It might look shallow and docile, but it is actually a very fierce river with strong undercurrents.
  • If shopping at the local market, you can bargain for sure, but be respectful towards the creators of the handicrafts
  • Be vigilant of anybody being too friendly; it doesn’t matter if they are foreigners or Indians.
  • If planning to visit Bhuntar or Manikaran, make sure that you leave very early in the morning, since there is only one road that will take you there, and it tends to get congested with traffic by mid day.
  • Dispose of waste, especially plastic items, in a responsible manner. Don’t litter.
  • Keep any medicines that you regularly need with you
