By Air
The nearest airport to Kasol is Kullu Manali Airport also known as Bhuntar Airport in Kullu district. Daily flights connect the airport to the country’s capital, Delhi. You can book a cab or a taxi to go to Kasol from the Bhuntar airport which is a mere 31 km and will take you about 1 hour to reach there. The nearest airport to Kasol is located in Bhunter, which is 31 kilometres away.Looking for a Delhi to Kasol flight? For tourists coming from other countries, you can take a flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. From there, you can either opt for a bus, cab (540 km with an 11-12 hours journey) or take another flight from IGI Airport to Bhuntar and reach Kasol similarly as above.
By Train
Kasol does not have a railway station of its own. To reach Kasol by railways you have to get off at the nearest railway station to Kasol which is Joginder Nagar railway station, about 144 km from the village of Kasol. You can take a cab from the station to reach Kasol or a bus from the Joginder Nagar Bus Stand towards Manikaran which should take about 4.5 to 5 hours. Joginder Nagar is the nearest railway station to Kasol in Himachal Pradesh.Chandigarh Railway station is also very common among tourists coming via train. You can take a train to Chandigarh at a distance of 296 km from Kasol, which connects major Indian metro cities. You have to take a bus towards Manali or hire a cab to reach Kasol which should take about 8 to 9 hours.
By Road
Being one of the most visited places in India by foreign tourists, the village is accessible via excellent road facility. The NH-3 is the main road leading to this village towards Manali. A road journey should simply just be as enjoyable and pleasant as Kasol itself. You can opt for self-drive or hire a cab. Delhi sets the base for people coming from long distances. There are many agencies that provide vehicles for rent and cab services to Kasol you can get in Delhi. Also, buses ply daily to Kasol from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi mostly being semi-sleeper Volvos for about 1000 to 1500 INR per seat. This journey takes about 11 to 12 hours. You have to then get down at Bhuntar, and take another bus towards Manikaran.
It takes up to 7 hours from Chandigarh to Kasol via road. A bus from Kullu to Kasol via Bhuntar takes about 3 hours to cover the distance of 40 km. Private taxis are also available from Bhuntar to Kasol and beyond into Parvati Valley. It is best to take an overnight bus from New Delhi to make your Kasol trip memorable.
