Pahalgam is a quaint hill town located in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Although it is a small town, it is well-connected to most parts of India by road, air, and rail. There are no direct routes from Delhi to Pahalgam. If you are looking forward to traveling from Delhi to Pahalgam, you will have to change the means of transportation. The distance from Delhi to Pahalgam is 797.4 km which can be covered in a duration of almost 17 h by road through a personal vehicle.

Delhi To Pahalgam by Flight: The aerial distance from Delhi to Pahalgam is 624 km which is covered in a time of 4 hrs 18 min. There are no direct flights from Delhi to Pahalgam. To travel from Delhi to Pahalgam by air, you have to take a flight from Delhi (DEL) to Srinagar (SXR), and then take a taxi from Srinagar to Pahalgam. The distance between Srinagar and Pahalgam is approximately 90 km. Bus services are available from Anantnag and Srinagar. You can reach Srinagar from Delhi by bus and then take a bus from Srinagar to Pahalgam.

Delhi To Pahalgam by Train: There are no direct trains from Delhi to Pahalgam as Pahalgam does not have any railway station of its own. The nearest railway station is in Jammu. The distance between Pahalgam and Jammu is nearly 157 kilometers. Take Upon reaching the station, you can either take a taxi or private cab to reach Pahalgam. Some of the trains that ply between Jammu and Delhi are Uttar Sampark Rajdhani, Jammu Rajdhani, and Jhelum Express. Board the train with number 04066 from New Delhi to Jammu and then take JKSRTC bus from Jammu to Pahalgam

Delhi To Pahalgam By Road

If you wish to travel to Pahalgam by road from New Delhi, you can hire a four-wheeler or SUV for the same. The ride will be a scenic one, as you will come across various beautiful spots along the way. The distance between Delhi to Pahalgam by road is 813.6 km which can be covered in a duration of 16 h 31 m.

By Bus: There is/are no direct bus(es) from Delhi to Pahalgam. The alternative way to reach is to take a flight from New Delhi (DEL) to Srinagar (SXR). Then take a State Transport Bus from Srinagar to Pahalgam. The total duration will be around 7 h 05 m with an expense of approx. Rs. 3503.

By Car: The distance between Pahalgam and Delhi is 832 km by road. You can travel directly from Delhi to Pahalgam in a personal car. The estimated time taken will be 16 h 31 m. Enjoy scenic views en route. Hire a cab or taxi from Delhi, or drive yourself directly to Pahalgam.

The hotels were good and clean. With professional staff. However they were all very far away from city center. In case of gulmarg the hotel was about 13 km away from the intended location which changes the topography and ecology of the region. The travel agent also forgot to pay to the hotel causing unnecessary delays.

We had a worst experience with amazing India routes. We were told that hotels are 4 star but was given 1 star or 2 star. Hotel in gulmarg dining area stinks. Hotel in pahalgam was even worst(Woods resort) it is a old building with no safety at all. See the view from hotel as attached here. Hotel in Srinagar was better but I had book my hotel seperately as I didn't want to stay there. Travel company has no idea about requirements. They totally messed it up on my anniversary.
