To reach Pahalgam from Srinagar, you have to cover 90+ km, which is Srinagar to Pahalgam by road distance. There are a significant amount of ways to cover that distance by road. You can rent a private car and drive it on your own to Pahalgam. You can also rent a taxi or a bus and take National Highway 44 (NH 44) which is the most common route, while travelling via towns like Pampore, Awantipora, and Srinagar. This will cover approximately 95 km, to Pahalgam, which will take 2 to 3 hours to reach

You can reach Pahalgam from Srinagar by train. However, there is no direct train to Pahalgam from Srinagar. Yet you can take a train to Anantnag by boarding BDGM BAHL SPL (04688) or other trains.     The hotels in Katra and Srinagar were quiet good. The best hotel was Petals of Chinar in Srinagar. The Hotel Pahalgam Suits was good but the rooms were quiet small and the water was dirty and smelly. The Divine Oak Golden leaf hotel was good on first visit, but during the last visit the bathrooms we
    re unclean. Also the dining area had grey water leakage at multiple places which was not taken care of for over a week's time. We literally had to have our breakfast and dinner in smelly dinning room. Apart from these small things, the hotels were good. The cab driver was amazing and the service agent was good too.
