A Shikara is basically a long wooden boat designed in traditional Kashmiri style with colorful cushions. Taking a ride in Shikara and houseboat, while enjoying the breathtaking view of snow covered mountains, houseboats, floating gardens and exquisite surroundings will take you to a completely new world. Dal Lake is one of the most famous Shikara rides spots in Kashmir.

Tourists can easily reach Dal Lake via road. One can also book a cab from their respective hotels to reach Dal Lake as there are many cabs and taxi available to visit the place. Travelers can also hire a cab to Lal Chowk and then use public transport like bus to reach Dal Lake. If you go via Boulevard road, it takes only 20 minutes to reach Dal Lake from Lal Chowk.

We had a worst experience with amazing India routes. We were told that hotels are 4 star but was given 1 star or 2 star. Hotel in gulmarg dining area stinks.
