How To Reach Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a great place for enjoying some solitude and a few moments of complete rest & relaxation. If you're planning to visit Kerala, make sure you pay a visit to this place for the sheer beauty of nature and unique birds. 

Getting here is pretty simple, since there are various modes of transport available for tourists. You can opt to reach here via boats, including houseboats and motorboats. Though, reaching here via a boat is considered to be the best option since it offers the best of both the worlds. <readmore>You can enjoy cruising on Lake Vembanad, and also watch several local and migratory birds at the same time.

You can also reach the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary via road, by either hiring a taxi or driving your own vehicle. If you're driving over from Kottayam, you can take the Kottayam- Kumarakom Road and SH42.

    The cab driver Ajmal was a very good person. On time pick up drops sightseeing. The boat house was a disaster the boat drove just for 3 hrs and then you are on your own.     The hotels and candle light dinner was awesome. The arrangements food cleanliness of the hotels was exceptional. I didn't took the cab service as I opted for self drive car. The only sad part was I had book the tickets from your agent and the return flight got delayed by 4hrs and he didn't inform me
    as he gave his email and mobile number to the airlines. I had to struggle with my 6months infant at the airport. Giving four stars just because of not informing the delay of my return flight. Candle light dinner
