How to Reach Vagamon Meadows in Vagamon

Vagamon meadows is a popular tourist attraction in Kerala which means that there is a huge influx of people every year. However, there are a lot of doubts regarding how to reach the meadows in Vagamon. The lush green meadows are not difficult to locate and visit. There are various modes of transport such as bus, train, and car that you can use to reach the beautiful place.

By Train: Travelling intercity in Kerala is easy as there are competent railway services for this purpose. Trains run from 11 am to 3 pm in the afternoon. Please book a ticket at least a week in advance to reserve a seat for yourself. The nearest railway station near the Vagamon meadows is the Kottayam stop. After alighting at Kottayam, you can book a cab or hire a car to take you to the Vagamon meadows. The ride to the meadows is approximately 2 hours that allows you to take in the beautiful scenery of Kerala on the way.

By Bus: Travelling to the Vagamon meadows by means of a bus is the most affordable means of transport. The nearest bus stop to the Vagamon meadows is the Idukki station. After, arriving at Idukki, you can take an auto or a cab to the meadows which takes approximately two hours. The buses in Kerala run throughout the day, so, you can buy a ticket right after you catch a bus too.

By Car: The easiest way to arrive at the Vagamon meadows is by booking a cab or hiring a car. This is a personal way of traveling with your family, friends or a group of friends. The price of the journey should be discussed before getting into the car to avoid unnecessary hassles.
