About Vagamon Meadows in Vagamon

Vagamon is a hill station in Kerala that receives visitors all throughout the year because of its amazing tourist attractions and activities like, trekking in the Vagamon Meadows, paragliding in the Vagamon Pine forests and boating in the Vagamon lake.

The hill station is also called as the ‘Switzerland of Kerala’ because of its misty and cool weather. Vagamon’s main attraction is the massive stretch of meadows. These meadows are filled with colorful flowers, exciting activities, and distinct lush greenery. There are at least 17 meadows in total that allow visitors a huge stretch of land to play ball and let children run around. The non-polluted air is a bonus and lets you take a break from the usual hustle and bustle of the city. Tourists can visit the meadows and trek for a little while, go for boating on the Vagamon meadows lake, and relax in the picturesque tea plantations in the surrounding area of the meadows. The meadows in Vagamon offer a plethora of amazing opportunities regarding exhilarating activities, enticing places to visit and nearby areas that should be explored. Vagamon Pine Forests

The vagamon pine forests are incredibly popular amongst the locals and tourists. The forests allow for activities like rock-climbing, paragliding, and trekking. The pine forests are the highest point in the hill station and allow you to get a view of the vagamon meadows while trekking to the suicide point or paragliding from the rocks in the forests.

Vagamon Hills

The 3 hills of Vagamon celebrate India’s religious diversity in a very beautiful manner. Thangal Para hills house numerous Muslim shrines, Murugan Para is a place of religious importance for the Hindu devotees and Kurisumala is a hill for Christian heritage and traditions. The hills are a major tourist destination for spiritual visitors and loyal devotees amongst the locals.

Vagamon Lake

Vagamon meadows lake Kolahalamedu Kerala is located strategically in the midst of lush greenery and misty hill station. Visitors can go boating and kayaking in the lake. The scenic lake allows you to breathe in the fresh air and relax while children play at its shores. The calm waters virtually tap into your mind and let you feel at home in the Vagamon meadows.

My trip was kerala was arranged by Namaskaram travels. My agent Sunny was very helpful throughout the trip. However I had some bad experience through the trip. The hotel in Munnar, Grand Valley, which was given to me in a 4 star package package was not of the standard for a 4-star. The location of the hotel was 100-150 m steep down the road, which could only be reached through hotel jeep, our traveller stayed out. A good hotel but not a 4 star. The next day, my traveller broke down on our way to Thekkady and we were stuck in the middle of nowhere for a couple of hours. The agency arranged for another traveller which covered our itenary for that day and dropped us to our hotel, Woodnote, which was the best in our trip. Local arrangements were made for our siteseeing in Thekkady, which were also good. Finally, a new traveller was assigned to us for our remaining trip, with with we covered Allepy and our drop to Kochi. Overall: Traveller Experience: 2/10 Grand Valley View, Munnar: 4/10 Woodnote, Thekkady: 10/10 Time Square, Allepy: 7/10 Agent Communication: 10/10 Travel Triangle Communication: 10/10
