There are no airports in Ujjain. The nearest airport to Ujjain is Indore airport which is 56 km from Ujjain and it will take around 1 hour to reach Ujjain from the Indore airport by road. You can take a cab or any public transport which will easily take you to Ujjain. There are direct Delhi to Indore flights available like AirAsia, Vistara, and Air India. From other cities as well like Mumbai and Bangalore, direct flights like AirAsia and IndiGo.
By Train
As Ujjain is an important city in Madhya Pradesh, it is well connected to all the major parts in India. Nearest railway station to Ujjain is Ujjain Junction. Regular trains from different major cities in India run here daily to the Ujjain Junction railway station. There is easy access to any part of the city by private or public transport from the train station. This mode of transportation is the cheapest to travel. Some trains that run on Delhi to Ujjain route are Intercity Express, CDG INDB Express, Malwa Express etc while on Mumbai to Ujjain are Avantika Express, Pune Gwalior Express, BDTS INDB Superfast Special Express etc.
By Road
